The woman at the pro shop was horrible and rude, walked right out after talking to her. The food was alright and the lifts were nice but the lobby areas are pretty dated.

Arrive early after a good breakfast. Skip lunch, just eat a protein bar on top of Magnum, then call it a day when the snow becomes slush. Kit Carson is sweet.

Try parking at Winters Creek Lodge instead of Main Lodge. Much nicer and less crowded. Also better cell service (at least w/ Verizon).

Great place to spend the day free from the distractions of everyday life. All the stress just seems to melt away when skiing the powder of Mt. Rose.

Take the shuttle from Reno for $15 round trip. Picks up at local hotels/casinos daily during ski/snowboard season.

Mt. Rose is a great ski resort for beginners & advanced. If you're into the blacks, try out Greg's Gamble. For views of Tahoe go "Around the World". Be sure to hit the Slide side too.
