Black and White Mocha Shannon. Sister gave us a gift card for our 25th Anniversary. She said it's better than our favorite Starbucks. She was RIGHT!!!!! Friendly staff. I would have given 5*s but they did not have coffee I could buy by the bag to take home or shipped. Our new spot whenever in WV
I love this coffee shop. Best beverages I ever had at one. Beats Starbucks for sure. This is a great place to meet a friend for coffee on a cold day. I live in Florida but miss this place. Also it was awesome to have the Zombie run from there. if you wanna complain about the price go to dunkin doughnuts geez. Sorry to tell you but quality costs more than crappy food. Also they have to be able to pay all of their wonderful employees a fair wage. If we want to stop sucking off the teet of China we need to start paying more for quality products you know your neighbor made who is less likely gonna try and poison you than a country who forces abortions on women with the incorrect sex child in order to control the population. Agenda 21. If you want to make America great again boycott all products outside of USA and pay more but then other companies will have to change and start paying you more per hour. BTW China hates us Seriously Who wants to buy products from people who would like you to be dead? Seems like a bad idea.
Great local indie coffee shop. Awesome place to chill and read a book or study
Highly recommended - Fantastic local coffee shop. They accept Square, have outlets (plus USB) at each table, have the most comfortable chairs, and make damn good coffee in generous proportions.
I travel between North Carolina and Indiana, and I haven't had a bad experience yet. I just wish they would stop pouring steamed milk over ice when they make their lattes since that could cause the milk to curdle. Great variety of beverages for the non coffee drinker. I wouldn't call them a third wave establishment, but they aren't far behind.
Cluttered, poor service. Staff couldn't muster a smile. I got an iced mocha weak and bitter I'm not sure it even had chocolate in it. Poor upkeep of the establishment.
Cherged extra for almond milk, used less than half the usual amount, heated it up and then poured over ice. They tried telling me it enhanced the flavors but all it did was water it down. Pretty obvious when they had to add more ice to a cup that was full to the top to begin with. Horrible Iced latte that I paid 5 bucks for. The easiest drink to make!
Moxxee has an excellent selection of coffee, various teas, and locally-made pastries. The environment is perfect for getting some work done or just hanging out. Coffee brewed using their Clover machine is one of the best cups of coffee you can find anywhere nearby.
Quiet little coffee shop that has a lot of options. I don't do caffeine so I like they have a wide variety of choices for those of us that don't. They have a lot of herbal teas that are just amazing.
I got a hot mocha made with almond milk & it was the best one I've ever had! The atmosphere is great too- if you want to study it seems quiet & if you want to meet a friend for a chat it is perfect. I highly recommend.
The coffee here is definitely the best I've had in Charleston. Although I would personally appreciate the addition of V-60 or Chemex to their menu. I think their biggest downfall is the vibe in their shop. The bug sculptures and videos of dung beetles is very off-putting. I just moved here and typically LOVE hanging out and working from coffee shops! However, I've found the atmosphere here to be uncomfortable and just plain weird. Not to mention the parking situation. I appreciate them attempting to be different from the typical "hipster" vibe, but I think they would really benefit from re-thinking the design of their shop. It's a shame that the atmosphere is keeping many consumers from experiencing the closest thing Charleston WV has to "real" coffee! Good product, but need help with branding and accessibility!
Finally found a place to get great coffee in Charleston area! Moved here from Seattle and have been searching for a great coffee spot! Now if only they would open one in St. Albans!
Moxxee's is a small but excellent coffee shop, providing truly exemplary coffee. Their lattes are sweet but balanced and full of delicious nuance. They offer a variety of reasons, coffee, and espresso. I would recommend the Double Down Latte to anyone.
This is a nice place to grab a highly potent caffeinated beverage while on the road. There's ample seating, both inside and outside. The staff are helpful and kind. I was informed that one of their espresso shots is roughly equivalent to three at Starbucks. If this is true, then be careful not to OD, my friends! The prices are reasonable, if not cheap.
