Really interesting menu selection, I tried the Vietnamese rice bowl with chicken. It was refreshing to see something like that rather than just standard friend fare and burgers. I
They have dry dock on tap which I enjoy. The servers were a bit on the slow side but the movie was busy and she was super friendly and attentive once she got to me. The clientele can be a little frustrating here, but that isn't a complaint on the theater itself.(noisy teenages and rude adults, which are everywhere I guess). The seats were comfortable and spacious. Bathroom was clean and the staff was very friendly; the older gentleman taking tickets was a hoot. I'll come back here on a weekday.
I have going to the Movie Tavern for years and it is definitely my theater of preference. Seats recline, popcorn is always fresh and staff is pleasant. It is a great place to just relax, have a drink and enjoy your movie.
favorite movie place to go to. staff is amazing. sometimes for big movies servers are trying to move as fast as possible with awesome attitude that it doesn't bother me. theirs been a couple times when they forget my drink and i let them know and they take it off my pay and apologize. awesome serves. some screens could use a little cleaning and that because people are gross. game day platter is the way to go with the fried pickles. sitting in the middle front is the best!
We like going here because they do have some gluten free items on the menu. The staff here has always been nice and it's a good place for kids. This theater has been here a long time and gone through several owners. I believe now it's a nice addition to the community and a good place to grab a bite and see a good movie.
We love coming to the movies here. There is a full bar and kitchen to serve all your hunger needs. The food is a bit over priced for tavern style food, but for the ability to watch a movie while you eat, it seems a decent trade off. Inside the theater, there is reserved seating and leather, recliner style chairs. The theaters are cozy and generally on the cool side, but very enjoyable. A movie and dinner night to be enjoyed!
We usually have a great experience here but tonight the waitress was rude and supposedly the new rule is you pay before u eat we were there 2 days ago and that was not the case we looked around to see if she made everyone pay first and it was only certain customers. She messed up order, we asked for another waitress, manager came to check with us was nice but no one came to see if we needed anything after ladt time we spend our money there.
If I could give them less than one star I would. The seats are wonderful and the staff are nice, however ~ this is a big one THE FOOD IS HORRIBLE! The french fries taste like they were fried in week old oil, the other food options we have tried numerous times are always as bad as the prior choices. The popcorn has sooooo much salt you need a gallon of water to get through the night, oh if you ask for butter it's only a pump or two. We did ask about the extra butter the waitress looked down for "a shine" and called it good! So eat before you get there people! Drinks are great from the bar so that is a plus :)
Theatre Food and staff was great. Parking lot not so great. Spaces too small to allow for proper parking.
I like this place because it's within walking distance of my house. The chairs are super comfortable since the remodel, staff is polite, it's generally always a good experience. A little expensive though. It'll run you $40, easy, if two of you eat and get a drink.
Movie a tavern has a nice clean establishment. The chairs are nice and the food is hot. The problem with the place is the lack enforcement on poor behavior. Being drunk at a place that serves booze is fine but acting dumb without being told. Is a complete other thing. When standing up to escort the disruptive person out myself. Staff told me she had been told before about her. But had done nothing about it. Talkative and disruptive throughout. It would be nice to see this establishment become like others with no cell phones and talking. I hope policies change. But currently have no plans on going back.
Today we went to see Annabelle awakening. We ordered food and started eating 20 minutes before the movie started. By the time the movie started my husband and I were extremely sick in the bathrooms puking. They comped the food but wouldn't refund the tickets because the movie had technically started already. Even though it was their food that made us sick they wouldn't do it. This isn't the first time either, we gave them another chance after they made my husband violently ill last time. I won't be going back or spending my money on food poisoning. I'm beyond disappointed in this theater chain.
Went to see girls trip we were late still they let us buy tickets. We selected seats c 1-3 and still someone was in our seats. Ended up sitting in section B. Looked at menu my daughter turned on light for service took young lady awhile but she took our orders by memory i will say great job for her but sometimes people will get upset if u get it wrong. I am not that person the people were laughing we were laughing all good time. Highly recommended movie tavern
Love the theatre quality, luxury chairs, and the little tables. The employees are very nice and polite. But please, don't try to order anything, they ridiculously overprice everything. Well if I had $20 I could get quite a bit, you may say. For $20 all I got was a Target-size popcorn bag and five chicken wings. I didn't even have a dollar left to tip the waiter (who was very polite) and I couldn't even pay attention to the movie because I was thinking about how much I get ripped off. Do not come on an empty stomach or you'll be emptying your wallet over a light snack.
Love the blue thing, and the food is great. Good selection of stuff and plenty of great drinks. The service seemed very good but the theater was only about a quarter full, so maybe it suffers more when it's busy.
Extremely dope reclining chair. Restrooms in good shape. Staff very friendly. Food and drink decent but a touch pricey. Would go again, but probably not on an empty stomach!
This is a great dine in theater! The prices are very reasonable compared to their competition. They also do monthly re screenings of older movies! Very nice accommodations and facility.
Great place for dinner and a movie. Food can be a little pricey but it's expected because that's how movie theaters make money. Love that the seats are big and comfortable and they lean back with foot rest. Great place to go on a date.
I have been to the Movie Tavern on several occasions, often for Aurora Rise fundraisers. Their reclining chairs are super comfortable, and they always have the movies I want to see at times that fit my schedule. The service is typically friendly and timely. Depending on the server, they may interrupt you at inappropriate times during the movie, but most servers are conscientious about this. My primary reason for rating this a four is that the food and drinks are a little overpriced for the quality of their ingredients (Better quality than Village Inn, slightly lower than a typical American-style restaurant in Denver).
My husband and I come here about 2 times every month and we LOVE it. We have had our pleasing times and dreadful times, but this is the second time in a row that we have had Stephanie as our waitress. We saw Magnificent 7 with our friends, and sat in row E, I believe. We were immediately approached by our waitress and are told about a new shake. Granting pumpkin season is in, I was not huge on this. I understand Fridays can be a bit busy, so when our food came out the fries were a bit cold. Luckily we were checked on a couple minutes after the food arrived and our waitress got us some new ones! The past 2 times we were offered a safe card option, which makes things so effortless! Definitely hoping to see the amazing service continue. And THANK YOU STEPHANIE.
Let me start off by saying I would have never guessed movie tavern would treat me this way. I've been coming here for years bring my wife here on dates before we were even married this has become a historic landmark in my wife and I's life. Today I went and seen Blair witch with my wife. We paid for our tickets, grabbed our menus from the waitress at the pedestal and everything went as normal like it usually does. Our food has arrived, my wife's plate smells amazing as does mine, however, I'm missing the top bun for my burger. I press the button to activate the blue light as I normally would and it was on for a good 10 min before I was even asked what was wrong. I told them I'm missing the top part to my burger and he bring me another within minutes. Unfortunately, at this point my burger is now warm with a heated bun. It was still delicious. About half an hour later we start hearing an employee screaming at the top of his lungs swearing, banging and throwing pots and pans around he kitchen. Keep in mind I'm right in the climax of the movie while all of this is happening. This went on for a good 20-30 min before it finally settled down. The entire time I have my blue light on hoping I can get assistance sooner then later. No one seemed to be coming so I turn my light off and me and my wife are ready to leave at this point. Someone that wasn't out waiter comes down the hallway and asks us if everything is okay. I explain to him what was happening and asked if I could speak to the manager. He says yes at this point I'm towards the end of the movie. Our waiter comes in and hands us our check and let's us know he took one of the burgers off and asked us if we still wanted to speak with the manager and I replied yes. 20 minutes go by and we have finally finished he movie and are walking out as I turn the corner I see the manager leaning over the pedestal and I see my waiter rush over to him to quickly explain to him what has happened. He addresses us and I begin to explain to him what was happening and he was immediately argumentative saying why would we wait until the end of the movie to address the issue. I had let him know I had to ask two employees to speak to you and I wait twenty minutes and as I turn the corner to exit he theater I see you standing here twiddling your thumbs. He goes on saying the he was in the kitchen during that time and that what we had heard never happened but we apparently heard someone throwing a fit in the kitchen. He also brings us the bill fold and asks us where our card is so we can pay for the meal. I replied I'm. It paying for crappy service and refused. He followed me out to my car mumbling under his breath still arguing with the situation. This is by far the worst costumer service I have ever experienced in my life. He offered us 2 free passes to fix the issue which is insulting to think that just because you offer me two free passes this will fix everything. This is completely disgusting and sad that now a place that I've created memories is no longer going to be in my future because of their disgusting service.
