Remote area in the forest. Had to spent 2 nights there but slept in the car instead. Not very enjoyable view from the campground but easy access to the water. Be aware of a bear!

Decent camping area, not too busy int he offseason. The beach was a bit steep in some portions, but the rocky shelf worked out well enough. Be on the lookout for hidden outhouses you didn't know existed!

Very remote with some of the best trails with epic views in the MidWest. Not for the novice camper. Also, the flies can be bad so bring long sleeves and pants just in case!

On sunny days it holds its own with the best beaches any where in the world. Requires some hiking to access or get here by water. Never saw any flies or mosquitos, but maybe we were just lucky. Cool spot to snorkel, as the rock meets the sea and cool exploring with the rock wall.

Don't let the name scare you away, Mosquito Beach is a great stop along the trail. It has several, cleared and flat, sites available along with bear boxes/bear poles available. You are steps away from Lake Superior and a small creek to refill your water supply.
