Great space with 2 separate bars... multiple levels of seating. They have specials every day. We started out with a platter of onion rings, wings, mozzarella cheese wedges, and Irish egg rolls. They had seated our party of 5 in the overflow room designed for big parties. It was very loud and we were going to move to another table but one big party left. So then we could talk...they were very accommodating. Lots of sandwiches like Reubens and French Dips...I had the Baby back ribs that fell off the bone!

Was not very impressed, just decent. Decent food at slightly high prices, decent service, decent drink pricing.

I was there on a Friday during a lunch rush. We had to wait a bit for a table because they "didn't want to open the other side" of the restaurant that had plenty of open tables to accompany our party.

For some reason cops from another city (pretty far away) were there and 3-4 waitresses were talking/being interviewed by them for some reason, but I'm pretty sure that was why they didn't open the other side.
Also, for some reason they thought it was a good idea to have the police interviews going on right at the front door. There were 2 cops and 3-4 waitresses acting very frantic with a couple slightly tearing up. I'm not saying there wasn't a reason for cops nor was I mad about the issue, cops need to get their jobs done too no matter what is happening around them and I'm a big supporter of their dangerous hard work.
But it was a very big turn off and just an all around bad idea to hold that right where customers are making their initial contact with your restaurant. A manager should have stepped in and asked for them to conduct their interviews pretty much anywhere else in the restaurant.

Not letting that incident effect my rating, I can't say that I would recommend moosehead to friends/family. The good thing they have going is the views and environment. Outside looks over the river with an open patio, and the inside is an old fire house redone very nicely! It would be the only reason I'd return for a 3rd dining experience.

    Thank you

Ordered the Bruised Moose Burger cooked medium rare. Melted Bleu Cheese with a blackened Patty and Bacon. Great burger cooked just the way I liked it. Onion rings were good, a little greasy, had a delicious spicy ranch sauce for a condiment. Overall a nice dinner, price was okay for the portion size. Would recommend for someone wanting decent pub food in the area.

Great place to eat. Very good menu. Friendly people. I ate out doors in the back. Beautiful view of the woods and the river is below you. When the trees turn in Fall it will be more colorful. I will be going here again.

Over priced for OK food. Take a good look at those food photos. See the little disposable sauce cup that's bigger that the entree. There is nothing generous or special about the menu. It felt like i was on an airplane. Crowded, noisy, people bumping into you because the table section is so close together that the wait staff is squeezing between chairs. It's just an upscale Denny's. No common courtesy for others. Kids are running around. (There was a toddler crawling across the floor). No volume control over their own voices. This was my first experience here, I was with my family for a 7:45 dinner. I honestly doubt that I will make a return visit. 2 adults and a 10 yr old. 1 app, 1 burger, 1 sandwich, 1 fish and chips, 2 beers and a lemonade. $85 not including tip.

The food was SOOOO good! The atmosphere was very comfortable. We enjoyed meeting both the owner and the event planner! The party room off the main dining room is beautiful, well thought out and well decorated! We will enjoy having our daughter's rehearsal dinner at this location!

This place is very nice. The outdoor patio that overlooks the falls is pretty cool. The inside has a firehouse theme. The food is delicious. The menu is extensive. The staff is very courteous. If it is not too busy the service is quick, but it seems when it is crowded the food can take a while to get out to you.

Love their outdoor seating in the summer and their cozy inside atmosphere in the winter. Always friendly, always smiles.

More of a high end burger and appetizers place. Although they do have a limited selection of full entrees. And the place is kinda $$$ for what they offer.

Service is always alittle on the slow side, which is kinda nice if your looking for a place to eat and take your time talking with others or just need to relax and read the news, blogs, etc.

Wonderful! First time here and will give a strong 5 stars. Our server came around often, refilled our drinks without asking, and gave us some good suggestions. Fast and friendly service.

    Will be back for more.
