IF YOU HAVE AN INTERVIEW HERE DONT DO IT. THEY ARE AGGRESSIVE AND LIE. THE MAIN MANAGER SAID " I DONT HAVE TIME FOR YOU. GOOD BYE" and hung up when my boyfriend asked about the pay rate. Overall they should be put out of business. They treat their staff terrible and they hang up on customers and swear at them.

Excellent in every way. Love the ambience, service, food and wine. Portion sizes are great. Agree with another comment, if people are disappointed in the prices, they don't appreciate quality seafood. Those who want more for their money should try Red Lobster, who's quality can't touch Mitchell's Fish Market. My dinner date was wonderful! Thanks! ❤

Very good food and excellent service! They went so far as to pull a lobster out of the tank for my 2 year old to "pet"

Then split the fish platter. The service is wonderful. We had a Special Evening tonight. We always will be come here to be eat the Oysters on Monday. Mmm delicious.

When people write that this place is expensive, they clearly do not value very fresh seafood. Food is very very fresh and delicious. It is difficult to get fresh ocean fish in the MidWest, so you have to pay more in order to get it. The crab, spinach, artichoke dip is phenomenonal. The sea bass was cooked perfectly. Mitchell's Market knows exactly how to prepare seafood to serve it to perfection!

Went to Mitchell's with a group of 5 to celebrate my daughters MSU nursing school graduation. The total bill with 2 glasses of wine and one appetizer as $300 including tip. Extremely poor value for the money; Red Lobster does a better overall job with non-fried seafood for considerably less money My scallops were $28 and consisted of 10 very small scallops on skewers with a paltry amount of asparagus. Again, very poor value for the money. The rest of the meals, except for the crab legs were mediocre at best. Oh, and everything is a la carte too. Want a salad? That's extra, soup? same thing. When I lodged a complaint, the on-site managers were extremely helpful and sympathetic. Then I got the regional manager, Mary, who was rude, condescending and attempted to lecture me on the quality of their scallops vs. others. Offered me a $40 gift card as compensation. Funny, but the $40 will barely cover the cost of a single meal here. It has been over a month and I still have not received the gift card, that I will donate to some organization. I will never eat at Mitchell's again and highly recommend others to skip it too. There are far too many other options available that will give you a better experience and value.

---GET SCOTT AS YOUR SERVERTHANK ME LATER----Scott saved the day! Wanted to bring my husband to the Sunday brunch he loves but we got caught in stand still traffic and almost missed it. We arrived at 1:40pm and the hostess informed us that we'd missed the brunch, it ended at 2pm. I was so sad as today is fathers day. We mentioned it to Scott not expecting that anything could as we were too late but nope he spoke to the manager and allowed us to have brunch. I really appreciate the fact that he went out of his way to do something positive for my husband and I. I would also like to thank the manager that gave him the approval and also the cooks. We will definitely be coming back!

I'm not saying the food was bad, but it was overpriced by a factor of 3 They are stingy on everything from 3 spears of asparagus to 95% empty plate space. I could only pay the poor waitress $2 for a tip since I got ripped off on the food. Shame on you Mitchell's fish market, I know you're reading this and I know that you know it's highway robbery!

Generally we enjoy the food as well as the service. Our most recent experience was not the norm. Both my wife and I have been sick since we returned to home last evening and all day today. The fish on the fish platter was fried in oil that was either rancid or used too many times under extreme heat. The taste of the oil dominated the variety of fish on the platter so all of the fish tasted the same. I'm prompted to rate and reveiw our experience because of the manager's response which was a typical defense of the oil being "changed daily" and "no one else has called to complain."

Four stars for the service---while the restaurant was busy and we arrived without a reservation, the receptionist accommodated our request to be seated at a well lit table and our waitress was very pleasant.

One of the better seafood restaurant in Lansing. Great for family or couples. Good variety on menu. Ambience and services very good. Parking was no problem as restaurant is located in a shopping mall.

My coworkers & I went here after a training that was recommended. I wouldn't recommend for large groups. It's a very popular place & it's small. There were only two guys that ran the dining area. They worked their butts off but slow service due to taking care of everyone. I thought the food was good.

Went today for Valentine's Day lunch. The cod stuffed with lobster and shrimp is always good. Soups are always reliable and good, as well. Titanic iceberg salad is huge enough to split but the house salad with dates and pine nuts is tasty, as usual. Great service. They split plates at no charge! Nice wine list and great cocktails.
