Sicilian is spectacular. Moist and crispy dough crust Tons of cheese and sauce is loaded w oregano
They layer the cheese nice and thick here. The small pizza can easily feed two. The bottom of the pizza had a crunchy, Graham-cracker like consistency but tasted great.
Amazing pizza!!! Best in Pittsburgh IMO. No need to order extra cheese because their pies come loaded with cheesy goodness. The sauce is sweet and the dough is perfectly cooked with a nice crisp crust. Interestingly, they put the toppings under the cheese. Cash only, so bring it or pay the surcharge at the in-house ATM. Service is always fast and polite.
First experience. Lasagna. Meatballs. Garlic bread. Tastes heavenly. Cost me less than 15 dollars including a can of coke and tip. Service is awesome.
I LOVE their pizza! So cheesy! So tasty! It is super extra hot coming out of the oven and eventhough I know that, it is pretty much impossible to not start eating it right away. ( The dining area is very cold. Bring a sweater).
What could be bad. The best Pizza in town. Really good wings. Good Salads. My fave
1 of a great many 🍕 places in Sq. Hill, this mainstay has been serving pizza, hoagies, dinner & alcohol for many years.
Staff is upbeat & fun, includes a full service bar as well as a desert section with excellent cannolli & traditional ice cream.
The pizza is excellent & genuine, but a bit greasy so I recommend dabing it with a napkin before eating to absorb until dry.
Open late for pittsburgh. No delivery.
What a disappointment I used to go here all the time and I loved it. I promised my family a great pizza. We took it to go. One of the toppings was mushrooms, which were covered under the cheese. After the very first bite all of us had to spit because of the taste of the mushrooms. They weren't fresh, they were marinated in some vinegary solution and tasted like chemicals. We had to take them out of the whole pizza to save it, but the taste was already spoiled by this solution soaking into the crust. We have never seen or eaten a pizza with marinated mushrooms before. Seams like a cheap alternative to the fresh mushrooms. Cash only is a huge inconvenience, considering that pizza is pricey. The tiramisu is great though.
Good pizza, something's missing from my childhood memory of it though the taste was different . And they charged for yet didn't give me the chocolate cannoliboo
Best Sicilian style pizza in Pittsburgh. Pizza was really big and thick with a ton of cheese. The pizza was not overly greasy and had a nice light crisp to the underside of the pizza. The pie was perfectly cooked.
If you are looking for something a bit different than your normal pie, give this a try. You won't be disappointed.
The pizza is good for sure, but don't sleep on the cheesesteak hoagie! Large tender slices of meat on a super soft roll. I got the BBQ sauce on the side, a tangy treat.
IMHO, the best Pizza in Pittsburgh. Actually, the best anywhere in the East (except maybe NYC). Good dough, great cheeses, and nice drippy slices. Plus they have extended their footprint to include a bar and ice cream place.
Mineo's offers an extremely cheesy pizza with a spicy sauce. The toppings are "hidden" (baked in under the cheese.) The cheese on a Mineo's pizza is not only abundant, but flavorful (likely a mix of several cheeses including mozzerella and sharp provolone.) The sauce has a strong and spicy flavor. The standard crust is a thinner Neapolitan, but Sicilian is available upon request. Mineo's also serves up a very good chicken wing as well as oven cooked hoagies. All portions are very generous. If you aren't ok with eating a significant amount of cheese then I would not recommend Mineo's, but if you're a cheese lover then this is heaven. Dining in or carrying out the service is always prompt and friendly. Make sure to bring cash as they do not accept debit/credit cards.
Order your pizza 'light on the cheese'. It's still like a normal pizza anywhere else, but the sauce to cheese ratio becomes perfect. The crust and sauce make this my favorite pizza in Pittsburgh.
The pizza house, the creamery, and now the full service bar. One of the simplest, thin crust joints in the burgh. Excellent topping options.
Look beyond the pizza and check out their apps.
Be advised this is a cash only establishment.
