Miller's Bookbinding is located in West Columbia, South Carolina, and was founded in 1986. We are master hand bookbinders who do work for customers throughout the world. The books we work on range in value, from those having only sentimental value to books valued in the tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars. Regardless of the value of the book, we treat all of our work with the utmost care. For us, bookbinding is a work of art. It is a labor of love, so to speak.
We do work for individuals, as well as dealers and collectors. From binding family histories, to restoring priceless books, to simply rebinding a beloved Bible, our work is both expert, and reasonably priced. If you need a book bound, rebound, or restored, we can almost certainly be of assistance to you. For jobs requiring expedience, we can even offer a 24 hour turn around!
We will be closed December 24th and 25th so that we may spend time with our families. We hope everyone has a very merry Christmas and a joyous new year!

UPDATE: Due to the power being out at the shop, we have been forced to close for the day. We expect the power to be up again by tomorrow morning, and should be resuming our normal hours then!
At this moment in time we intend to be open tomorrow, October 11th. If Hurricane Michael does become a threat to our area, though, we may close. We will update this thread in the morning, depending how strong the storm actually is when it comes through our area.
Due to the expected arrival of Hurricane Florence in the Midlands tomorrow, we will be closed on Friday, September 14th. We hope that everyone stays safe, and we want to take a moment to thank all of our first responders and their support staff. We hope everyone has a safe, uneventful weekend!
Happy Book Lovers Day to all of our fellow librophiles!
A return customer of ours, Mr. Chuck Peterson, came into the shop yesterday. He mentioned that he had a series of photos of Mr. Miller from our old location on Jasper Street and offered to share them with us. He was kind enough to send them all to us earlier today, so we are sharing them for our long time customers and family to see! We are very grateful to Mr. Peterson for these photos!
Incidentally, these pictures were taken by Mr. Peterson's son, Richard Peterson. Again, we really appreciate having them!
We will be closed December 25th and 26th, as well as January 1st. We hope everyone has a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!
A reminder as to why we highly recommend NOT shipping your books to us via the US Post Office. Of the few orders that were sent to us that were lost in transit, every single one was sent by USPS.
We highly encourage you to ship by either Fed-Ex or UPS!
Oh, and remember to include a note! I have two Bibles sitting here right now shipped from packaging stores that have no contact information whatsoever on them. And as you might expect, the packaging stores they were shipped from have no record who the original shippers were!
