Milano Development was founded by current president Joseph S. Milano in 1972. From the first houses back in those early years, to our latest subdivisions and commercial buildings, quality has always been the basic ingredient in a Milano-crafted building. ​Through the years, Milano Development has built more than 250 homes along the Connecticut shoreline and Mr. Milano has maintained an active presence in the local home building community.

Adhering to these same high standards, Milano Development has also built 38 commercial/ industrial buildings in Guilford, Madison and Westbrook. These buildings encompass over 300,000 square feet of rentable space and are owned, leased and managed by Milano Development and related entities. The buildings encompass virtually all aspects of the commercial real estate market: retail, industrial, office, flex and self-storage.​

Mr. Milano has been joined in the family business by his son, David and his daughter, Jennifer. David handles the commercial leasing and management while Jennifer serves as legal counsel. Milano Development has been proud to call Madison home for over 45 years and has recently built a new headquarters at 40 Mungertown Road. We look forward to many more years of business on the Connecticut shoreline.
