I brought my car here because they are they only AAA certified mechanic in the area and I had a situation that could be a warranty issue from another AAA shop. They were unable to take in my car on the first day, so I explained the situation along with my urgency and made an appointment for the next morning.
I brought the car in at the prescribed time and Reed had no idea who I was and didn't remember anything I had explained the afternoon before. He took the car and said they would check it out.
I hadn't heard anything by 1:30 so I rode a bike there to see how things were coming. Although the car had been moved, it had not been touched. I left word for Reed reminding him of our urgent need to leave town and needing to know if the car is safe.
Reed called back a couple of hours later with an explanation of the situation and a cost. I told him to go ahead (I had no other choice). I checked with my home mechanic who gave me his estimated price that was less than half.
The bottom line is that the car got fixed and the work they did was good. The main issue is being left in the dark with no activity for so long during a time of urgency. Reed's demeanor could help the situation if he changed from acting put-out by customers to smiling.
$60 for a tire patch are you kidding me?
What an absolute gentleman !!! I was going to pick my children up across the mountains and on a nasty day with awful weather and my windshield wipers stopped working, he had me on the road in no time at all, this single Mom left without tears of a heavy repair helped me out the kindness of his heart !! Would I recommend, absolutely there are so few sweet people left that will help people !!!
I have been bringing my cars here for 10 years. These guys do great work, friendly knowledge and very honest.
My Son broke down in Frisco, CO had the car towed by Mikes Motors according to Reed our car has a hole in the engine block he agreed to work with the warranty company to get the car repaired, now this happened on July 26, 2016 My husband and I left PA on July 29th before we left home I called Mikes Motors and spoke to Reed he said he was going to call warranty company and he will repair the car he told me it may take 2 weeks to get the claim processed at this time I asked Reed if I was going to be charged any storage fees knowing that it will take him some time to repair the car his answer was NO, so we left home and arrived in Colorado came home on August 2nd called Reed again and he still had not called in a claim to the warranty company on August 9th I called the warranty company again and asked them if they could call Reed and find out what was going on well after many calls to the warranty company I found out that Mikes Motors screens their calls and they refused to pick up call from the warranty company finally after a desperate attempt to contact Reed the associate at the warranty company used his personal cell phone to contact Reed and guess what he finally answered and told the associate that he was going to get the car impounded cause I threatened him with a lawsuit, yeah you are holding my car and I got prove as the many times I called you and you are still giving me crap, Mind you this whole time he didn't give me any indication that he wasn't going to fix the car, so I called the police department and I finally found out that my car was impounded now I have to pay for storage at the impound lot to get my car towed to someone who really have brains. If this brainless Reed who was really nasty and useless on the phone told me on July 29th that he was going to be a jerk and ride me along like a fool I would had stayed in Colorado until Monday August 1st and had the car towed to PA by the way he had my CAR IMPOUNDED ON SEPTEMBER 2, 2016. I SUGGEST TO RUN AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE FROM MIKES MOUNTAIN MOTORS. REED IS A JOKE. ONLY WAY TO POST THIS I HAD TO GIVE HIM ONE STAR WHICH HE CLEARLY DON'T DESERVE.
Garbage service. My car is a 1997 audi a8 and I had to get it towed there because long story short my battery died and I couldn't get a jump. I called and told them what the problem was and they said something was drawing power from the battery and they had no idea what it was. They said that my car should be fine however and I went to pick it up and it didn't even start. The guy there had to jump it and told me that because it was sitting for so long is probably why it lost power. They still charged me $123 for basically just a jump. They also stole my car parts. They're complete dipshits who know nothing about cars and will do anything for money. I don't know what they were like a few years ago but they should be shut down for being mechanics who are just interested in money and not actually helping the customer. If you have an audi in breck or frisco I'd say J and H mountain auto services in silverthorne. I've never went there but they have good reviews and the only other place that will look at audi's.
Bad service, asked them to fix jeep handles and they said the couldnt and charged me for nothing. Also broke the back on my hard top. Terrible mechanics.
Rude. Unprofessional. DO NOT GIVE MIKE'S YOUR BUSINESS. As we were leaving Copper Mountain, our driver's side wiper decided not to work so we called Mike's around 10am to see if they could take a look at it soon that morning to which they responded yes. We drove down 30 mins later to be "greeted" by some jerk who didn't know if it was him who we spoke to on the phone or not (even though he appeared to be the only guy present at the desk). He proceeded to tell us that "maybe" they could take a look at it after lunch even though we told him we thought it was just a loose screw or something of the sort. He was rude, callous and disastrously unfriendly. We had a plane to catch in Denver so we could not wait for this jerk to get around to just taking a simple look to assess the problem. The good news? High Country Automotive Repair is literally right next door. We walked 10 feet and were greeted professionally and kindly. Carrie fixed it in 3 minutes. Do not give Mike's your business. Save your time, energy and money and head next door to High Country where you'll actually be helped!
