Save yourself the money, unless you want to be around racial segregationist this college is not for you. They had a "day without white people" protest and were forcing white people to not attend the college, when a progressive and bright professor defied this racist protest he was shouted down to resign and I swear they would of gotten violent too. This college promotes racism against white and political violence to the right.. Stay away.

My daughter wanted to go to this school, so we went for a visit over the summer. While talking to a professor in her department of interest, it came up that she held conservative values. At that point, the professor (I won't use his name here out of respect) told her "we don't like little deplorable bigot here. They cause all sorts of problems and invite speakers who 'marginalize' our study body and hide behind archaic notions of 'free speech.'" We were then asked to leave his office, so we did.. never to return.

Would not send my daughters to a facility where you are allowed to be disrespectful due to political views. It's sad to have such irrogant authories to educate our children. Changed my mind about sending my children to this college.

Was considering this college for my daughter as we begin our search for her continued education. I am fearful that the right to freedom of speech would result in possible violence on this campus. Middlebury is no longer an option.

I'm not in the least bit surprised by what happened at Middlebury post Charles Murray's talk. I'm an alumnus, and can first hand claim that it is (on the whole--save a few notable exceptions) a bastion of political correctness and radical leftist ideology. Shame on those who attacked an innocent professor (also a close friend) and shame on those who silenced the speaker's first amendment rights. I will no longer remain silent in the face of radical extremism, free speech must be protected. Our democracy depends on its survival. While I'm grateful for an excellent eduction, I do not look back fondly at my time at Middlebury. Hopefully the Administration will address this glaring cultural bifurcation. Disclaimer: Not all Middlebury students/faculty fall into the category of radical leftists, but the campus is most definitely and decidedly left wing. We must be comfortable in discussing uncomfortable topics. "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter."-Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The school is lovely and the people are great. I've had some difficulties but I'm changing the things I need changed from within. Outdoorsy and academic with a loving community
