Micon Inc. was founded in 1994 by Terry Knittle and was Incorporated in Canfield OH. Micon Inc. is a family owned and operated UNION contractor. Terry first got into the Mechanical Insulation trade as a UNION apprentice in 1970. Terry was no stranger to the Insulation industry back then as his father was also a UNION Insulation worker his entire life. In 2000 his son Larry Graduated from The Ohio State University and joined the team making it a 2nd generation business. In 2012 Larry took over the business and moved the location of the offices and warehouse to Girard OH. Being a family owned business we are sympathetic of the needs of our clients and strive to meet and exceed all of your expectations. We are small enough to give you the hometown customer service you would not get from a giant corporation, yet big enough to take on just about any project. Micon Inc. has a proven track record for quality mechanical insulation construction and given the opportunity will show you how we can meet all of your insulation needs. We are sure that if you do you will be calling us back for all of your insulation projects.

  Pressure vessel before and after. Insulated using 2” fiberglass pipe and tank and .016 stucco embossed aluminum jacketing, banded and pin welded in place.

  It’s been awhile since we have posted some pictures so here are some recent pictures of a a couple tanks that we insulated. These tanks where insulated off site and then transferred to the job site.

  Micon Inc. is celebrating its 25 year anniversary today!! Thank you so much to all of the contractors that we have had the pleasure of working for over the last 25 years! Also a special thank-you to all of Micon Inc.’s awesome employees who continue to work so hard!   BIG exciting news here at Micon!!!! We have purchased some new equipment and moved on from using hog rings and are now sewing removable covers! Removable covers are now being made completely right here at our Warehouse in Girard!! Take a look at the pictures and check out the finished product! Josh Oxley and Larry Knittle worked hard to get everything up and running this week!

  This one hits close to home. The police station is right across the way from our office. Driving in to work today and seeing the flags at half mast, the blue ribbons tied on the trees and local businesses that have shown their support was a reminder of how a senseless tragedy can bring a community together. Thank you for your service Officer Justin Leo. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time. 💙
