Miami International University of Art & Design – formerly known as International Fine Arts College, a for-profit institution and one of The Art Institutes, a corporate system of more than 40 educational institutions located throughout North America, providing education in design, media and visual arts, fashion, and culinary arts. Established in 1965, the University provides career-focused education in the applied arts and design, and is located in Downtown Miami. The school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.The school's programs are designed to make each student marketable to employers after graduation, and to help develop creativity. Students receive assistance with career planning from their entry through graduation, and beyond. The Career Services Department is designed to encourage the successful entry into each graduate’s chosen field.
