  Get the a Red Snapper. It is outstanding. This place is always crowded with locals, which should tell you everything you need to know. Good food, very reasonable prices. Not a fancy place, but clean and well managed. You will be glad you tried it.

  Wife and I had an overnight stay in San Juan before heading out on a 7 night cruise. Someone recommended we try Metropol. The food was really great. We had never eaten Puerto Rican food before and was pleasantly surprised how great the place was. If you're looking for a big commercial restaurant, stay clear. But if you're hunting for a place that serves good Puerto Rican dishes, this place is a MUST.

  Very nice. Some menu plates may seem a little expensive but be aware that for sure you're going to enjoy a dinner or lunch at this restaurant especially using plantain and mofongo as your side dish Don't forget to try our tasty pork chops.

  Metropol had a very wide range of food and decent portion sizes. On the night we came in there was no wait. My lamb chops were cooked perfectly. Our expectations were quite high since multiple PR locals had recommended this place. The food was good enough for us to return.

  Food was extremely salty but the white rice was good! what ever you don't sit next to the wall you will be created by a roach on that alone I wanted to leave. they were accommodating on changing our tables but I wouldn't recommend unless you don't mind the roach or additional kidney stone here or there.

  We ordered our dinners & one soda my mother a glass of water . I had to ask for her water three times until they finally brought it.
  They also bring a courtesy basket of sliced bread; we never got one. The food was very good. After being traveling form 4:30 AM form the State of Oregon, all a customer wants is flawless service.
