Description
Our Local Party recognizes that Meriden faces an uphill battle. Local Government can no longer rely on an infinitely increasing real estate market to generate tax revenue. The job market and real estate market are unstable and taxes continue to increase. Employee benefits are underfunded each year, and Meriden is sinking further into a sea of debt. Times are tough for everyone, but now is not the time to give up – now is the time to learn from our mistakes, and correct our future. The Republicans are ready to tackle our problems head on, and we have a plan.
