Fun place to go for artistic events. They need more permanent things to do when there are no events.
This was a hidden gem that I had never seen until I went there for a wedding. Great artistic scene with various shops and studios. The venue itself was spacious, and we'll set up. I like their easy access to outdoor entertainment space as well as indoor. It is industrial and lofty with a good amount of parking. My only complaint so far is the bathroom. None of the stall doors would close.
Cool place it was the pick up spit for the Urban Burbon Marthon.
Very laid back atmosphere. Good pizza spot. Great tattoo shop, as well. All hail, Justin Tweedy @ Ronin Studios!
great place to shop for antiques and there is a leather shop where a guy can get a real belt
So many great artists and very unique items. This is a wonderful place to spend an entire day.
Moved out 6 years ago. First visit back. Lots of affordable artist spaces available. Still no AC or money put back in. Reception and wedding rooms uncganged.
Mellwood is great to see and purchase wonderful locally made art. Love coming to the art shows!
Great place to host events. Old school run down meets new age. Amazing place. A good taste of Louisville
I really enjoyed going here. It looks like a big factory building from outside and then you get into it and it is like a trendy mall with event rooms and neat shops.
After having been to several weddings and having photographed at Mellwood, we've found it to be a "go to" place in Louisville. The rooms are spacious and have a neat industrial feel to them. The outside area is very quaint and stylish. We recommend them!
I filmed a wedding there. It was large with a lot of photo and video opportunities. Both inside and out. It is cool what they turned the old factory (I believe) into. Worth going there just to take pictures of the place itself. A lot of parking there too.
