I loved it in DC. So many things to see, so many things to learn.

I’ve been standing in line for over an hour without so much as an employee in sight. The bus was supposed to have left 30 minutes ago. I won’t be using this service again.

Beautiful station, conveniently located. All the 1 star reviews appear to be people dissatisfied with Megabus Not sure why they rate Union Station badly. Rate Megabus instead.

My departure schedule from Washington DC to New York at 11pm was cancelled. The guy at the station informed to me about the cancellation and help me out. I made a phone call to customer service and they send me an email with the link for re-schedule hopefully at 10pm same day. I already had paid for the seat and the accommodation was good. The bus left on time, was not too full so we choose any seat. The only concern about it is cleanliness, seat a little bit careless with some trash and the bathroom as well.

I read some really negative reviews before my trip and almost cancelled, but decided I'd see how it played out. I had a large bag and a book bag. Took the large bag and placed under the bus and I hopped aboard. The very front seats are very close to the front bulkhead. They felt like they were leaning forward. They were rather uncomfortable and barely bearable for the 4-hour ride to NYC.

We left at 6:03 for a 6pm departure, so nothing like other reviews have stated. We were scheduled for a 10:15pm arrival and arrived into the city around 10:30, so in reality, not too bad at all.

Couldn't connect to the WiFi, but did you the outlet, once I googled it and was able to locate where it was. There was a little bit of trash next to my seat, but nothing intimidating.

Overall, I'd use it again and it's very cheap. Where else can you get from DC to NYC for less than $15?

Terrible service from New York to D.C on October 29th. Torrential rain and we waited outside for an hour as the 16:00 and 16:15 busses did not turn up. None of the staff were helpful, they didn't know where the bus was and kept changing their minds if it was there. Told us to get in a new queue for the 16:00 then denied every saying it. The 16:30 loaded before the 16:00 or 16:15. The staff appeared to take a cash in hand payment to get someone on board an earlier bus! Eventually a replacement bus showed up for the 16:00 which had vanished. The most unprofessional service I have ever seen in the USA.

Easily some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Calling and emailing them was utterly useless and waste of time.

I took a trip to Virginia Beach from Washington; the first thing to know is read and reread the luggage rules. I got lucky with a way overweight bag that was probably pushing it. Those with two bags were weeded out as they checked reservations. The bus itself was fine, I wasn't expecting a business class trip. The driver was safe and professional. I don't think the WiFi worked. No problems with other passengers (okay, a few sans headphones movie watchers). Would I do it again? Possibly.

Rude exlerience with ticket checker at the Washindton DC Union Station. But punctual to my knowledge and far better and cleaner than Greyhound.

The most unreliable bus company I have ever used. In a trip Philadelphia to Washington D.C., the boarding was delayed more than 1:30 hours. The journey back to Philadelphia was delayed more than 20 minutes. With that, the staff showed little to no sympathy to the customers regarding such problems. The refund policy of the company is, to be polity, absolutely ineffective, with them giving you a small discount at a future travel with them. I mean, would Megabus think that it is possible in any way to travel with them once again at all?

Seriously megabus is the pits. Try any other bus line first. Safe yourself.

The trip leaving D.C. was great, however the return trip from New York was horrible. A call was placed with customer service while on the trip with concerns regarding the driver. He was swerving left to right and eventually crossing into the emergency lane, which alerted him to get back into his lane. There were several occasions where passing vehicle blew there horn because the driver was merging into their lane. I called customer service expressing my concerns. The guaranteed someone would call me ASAP. A day later no phone call. The driver eventually made a 5 minute stop for himself. The bus never stopped to allow the passengers to take a break, even with the driver transfer, which was no biggie, however they stood and conversed between each other about their supervisor for at least 15 minutes, instead of letting us off. After calling customer service and no one returning calling to reassure or let us know something, I wouldn't trust riding with them anymore. I told the rep either the driver was sleepy or he was intoxicated because of the swerving. My friend even went down to ask if he was ok. He stated the wind was blowing however, one indication for wind blowing are trees, leaves, branches, or the grass blowing/moving. Definitely was not happening. To know that a business does not take the safety of the customers into consideration is a big concern for me. It's convenient but I value my life more. If I can upload this video I made I will.

I took the megabus on July 15, 2016 heading to New York, I was sitting at the top of the bus and got up to use the restroom which is at the bottom on my way down the steps I felt something sharp slice my heel when I turn around and look it was blood coming from my feet I informed the driver who took my info and wrote it down and ask me to write a little report. The drive gave me fist aid thing and I put pressure on it until the blood stop flowing heavy and the driver offered to call perimedic I told him no because I don't even know where I am and don't want to be stuck out here. When I get to Manhattan I feet was swelling and show it to the driver who told me someone I going to call me. On july 19, 2016 When the man call me and ask about what happen in told him and told him I went to the doctor I got a tetanus shot and I got few days of work, he ask me if im going back to the doctor I told him im not sure it base on how it heals. Then he sent me and email that the case was close. I email that and told him you can't close this case until this day he never respon, I call so many times leave messages no respond.so I call megabus customer service and the told me to fax the paper over and did it more than once and call customer service say give some time and until this day no respond. I have been taken megabus for years to Canada and New York and this is not the way you treat customer's.

Absolutely atrocious experience, from book to disembark. This bus company is the epitome of a business grown too large and impersonal, and unmitigated indifference towards the care of the customer. From being directed to the wrong line at the unorganized and fairly unsafe "30th Street Station" outdoor Philadelphia stop, resulting in my missing my bus (left only to hope to find an open seat on a later busthe Sunday night after Thanksgiving), to being delayed hours (on a 5-hour NYC-DC trip) in the cold of November at another un-sheltered Baltimore stop at night to wait for another driver to arrive to finish the journey after being told by the incumbent driver that he had reached his legal driving limit of 10 hours I find it safe to say that I have seen it all from Megabus in just a few months, and that you're, more than likely, not even getting what you're paying for.

Bus showed up over 45 minutes lat and later departures to the same destination were boarded before us. Customer service was extremely unhelpful when I called to see what was going on. You definitely get what you pay for with Megabus.
