Standing about six feet apart from one another is a safe distance when holding a sparkler, especially if more than one person is holding a sparkler. #fireworkssafetymonth #fwsm #july4th #firesafety #themoreyouknow #MedAllianceInfoShares #sparklers
When holding sparklers a person should be standing, Not sitting. This is for the safety of avoiding embers falling on pants/dresses/exposed skin of the legs and feet. #fireworkssafetymonth #fwsm #july4th #firesafety #themoreyouknow #MedAllianceInfoShares #sparklers
The stick can remain hot long after the flame is gone, so it should be disposed of in a bucket of water. #fireworkssafetymonth #fwsm #july4th #firesafety #themoreyouknow #MedAllianceInfoShares #sparklers
These kind of pictures that people like to make and share are actually a big thing to avoid. Waving sparklers increases the chance of injury since the actual sparks are being waved, embers are also at higher risk for causing injury during this. #fireworkssafetymonth #fwsm #july4th #firesafety #themoreyouknow #MedAllianceInfoShares #sparklers #whatnottodo
Did you know that lighting more than one sparkler stick at a time can be dangerous? While the intended goal may be to see something pretty and have some fun, the ignited sparks can also be much greater than intended and lead to injury. #fireworkssafetymonth #fwsm #july4th #firesafety #themoreyouknow #MedAllianceInfoShares #sparklers
Sparklers may burn slowly but just because they don't burn down like a match doesn't mean they aren't dangerous. If you plan on letting children, especially those under the age of 13, use sparklers at any point you should have some safety rules set up. One of the most important: make sure there is always at Least One adult watching the kids at all times.

Anyone holding a sparkler should hold them while standing up, Not while sitting down.
Closed-toe shoes are Very important since sparklers release sparks (it's in the name!). Flip-flops are definitely not ideal for these celebration extras.
