Aesthetically beautiful and simple. As the staff put it “A candy store for pens and stationary” absolutely wonderful. Great selection of pens and inks. Highly recommend shopping here.

I went into this pen store tonight and was overwhelmed by the beauty and organization of all things pens and pencils. Now, when trying to find it again and write my review it seems to be missing. Goods for the study is a pen shop with walls lined with pens and pencils and all your writing needs. I’d go back if I could find it again, but perhaps this is just a mystery place and good thing I got some photos.

Great bookstore. Perhaps the "cleanest" of bookstores in Manhattan. No frills, no-nonsense shop with just a very well curated selection and helpful staff.

Great independent bookstore located in the Nolita district of Manhattan. (Perhaps the best in NYC) Well curated selection of books over two floors with an adjoined cafe. Quarter operated toilet downstairs make this fine establishment a perfect mid-shop pitstop. Recommended.

I found out about Frontier browsing their graphic novel section. The bookstore also has some good micropress stories as well as a great selection of mainstream books. If I lived in the city this would be my weekly haunt.

The selection of books is incredible. So many interesting things, from travel and culture to graphic novels. Easy place to spend a lot of money :)

Great selection of books. All of the latest best sellers along with a strong art section, US literature section, and personal essay and poetry. The cafe is busy, but fairly priced with a pot of tea costing $4.50

I love this bookstore. Their shelves are excellently curated (and great for browsing!) and the staff is helpful. The bookstore urself feels like it has a personality-- it's fun and knowledgeable and welcoming. I feel totally at home in this bookstore and that's why I keep coming back!

Favorite bookstore in Manhattan. The selection is not as large as others (say, the Book Culture near Columbia or, of course, the Strand), but the shop is well curated and comfortable. Knowledgeable staff. If you like books, you'll inevitably find ones here that you had no intention of purchasing.

Such a beautiful place. I got the newsletter saying that the store was open and I had to stop by today. It's such a cute store. The space is roomy and every item appeared to be properly picked out for display. This store caters to those who love paper, writing, and read. They sell beautiful paper goods and stationary. There an amazing draft table that unfortunate isn't on sale, holding a cool triangular scaled architect ruler. Prices are good and the staff is just an extension of McNally Jackson Bookstore's super amazing customer service! Good stuff!
I can't wait to come back for some note cards, and there was a pencil case that I want.response / report this review
