My server was Awesome! He was Very friendly and full of life. The restaurant lighting was nicely toned and a Beautiful atmosphere. Good music with a pleasant tone.
I am inquisitive though. Someone called me to confirm my reservation, I asked her if they did anything special for Birthdays?, I was assured the honorary would have a personalized “happy birthday” menu and a complimentary dessert. She apparently forgot to make not of it. She asked for the name. Even though, they called me to confirm my 7:00PM dinner time, it still took about twenty minutes or thirty minutes to be seated. There were about one or two smaller parties ahead of me. I’m not understanding why reservations was even necessary. There were not parties behind ours. I took note of even smaller parties coming in well after we were seated. I requested the private dining area when I made the reservations two weeks prior. We were placed in the middle of the restaurant.
Whoever I spoke with two weeks ago didn’t take note of any my requests. She didn’t remember anything she assured me of.
Nevertheless, The food was delicious. It was fresh and hot. I would personally recommend ordering your ribeye steaks medium well. The well done had a good flavor, it was a bit dry, tough, and hard to swallow.
We had a horrible experience. First was told to sit at a dirty table that would be cleared off, that took 15 minutes till our waitress came and cleaned and gave us menus and took our drink order. 15 min later she took our food order and we still had not drinks. 25 min later our drinks arrived( mind you it was only 3 sodas). Finally I asked for a manager but she was busy at the moment. About 30 min later our food came out, the kids dinner were fine, my shrimp and mashed potptaoes thou good tasting were cold and my green beans wear barely cooked. Asked for manager again, still she didn’t come. Finally I’m about to leave when she shows up and starts the conversation with “let me guess poor service?” Well yeah! She goes on saying it’s not how the restaurant normally runs etc. then offers to do nothing for us and walks away. Horrible service does not give you repeat customers!
Love to write a review! Had a 3:15 reservation; finally seated around 4:30. Place was packed for Nat Championship so really tried to be patient. Ordered drinks and when we ordered a beer that bar had on tap, the response was, "I'll see if I can get to it" presumably because the bar was so crowded. 1/2 hour later a "celebrity" and his large party was seated right next to us. Our waiter had not been back to us but came to the area when the celebrity arrived. We flagged him down since he was finally in view and asked about our drinks and said we were ready to order. We ordered appetizer and entrees all at the same time to avoid having to get his attn again. The celebrity party got drinks from the bar in about 5 minutes. We were still waiting 30 minutes later. We asked for bread, never received. The celebrity's table received their food; we still did not have ours. We decided that we did not have any more time to wait, so we went to the front to ask to speak to a manager. An hour and a half after being seated, three of four entrees arrived. The fourth entree arrived 10 minutes later. When the manager finally came to our table, his response was "well, as you can see we are a little busy." When we noted that the large party beside us received drinks, appetizers, entrees, drink "refills" all while we are waiting, he still just said "well, we are a little busy." I understand being super busy when there is an event, but I would think that a restaurant like McCormick and Schmick's could "manage" their business better than having a guest arrive at 3:15 and not being served until after 6:00. On a positive note, the food was very good, just not worth the wait. And the "celebrity" was very nice to everyone who wanted a picture.
My husband and I had dinner here this week. The server was attentive and prompt. However, our meal took over 30 minutes to be served. We had the NY Strip at $39 for the entrée with sides additionally. We requested that the entrée be shared. The sides were good, but the steak was thin and disappointing. Add that to the fact that the server had to even offer to bring the manager over to apologize for the delay. The restaurant was far from full. We will not eat there again.
Over priced for the amount of food they serve. We spent 70$ and I left hungry. Ordered the beef tip medallion with sautéed spinach. The beef was cooked med the way I ordered and it was tender, but such a small portion. It was maybe 4oz and it cost $27. The spinach and mushroom was very salty. Not sure if it was because I don’t use a lot of salt when I cook, but it tasted as if I was pouring salt right from the shaker into my mouth. The staff was pleasant but doubt if we will ever return. I can get just as good a meal elsewhere for less.
I dined here on my Birthday, Nov 23, same day as thanksgiving day 2017. I had an awesome experience! We arrived to the restaurant around 6:30PM. It was Thanksgiving night so the restaurant was not crowded at all. We were seated pretty quickly and our waiter Khairo was most attentive, very knowledgeable about the menu options and acknowledged my birthday. At his recommendation I ordered a Sangria hands down the best Sangria I have ever had. Khairo got our orders correct, relayed my shellfish allergy to ensure care would be taken with my steak's preparation. The food was great, the service was top notch, the restaurant was nice and clean and I had a fabulous birthday dinner experience. I would definitely refer others to this restaurant.
Went there for Christmas with family but overall it was disappointing. Service was poor both in speed of service and remembering what was requested which frankly when spending the money that you do there it should be above average if not great. Along with the poor service the atmosphere was subpar. Music was way too loud and there was little standing/sitting room while waiting for the reservation that was made. Food was good so that part is a positive. But overall I cant recommend this place without going back and trying it one last time.
My husband and I ate here b4 the Kat Williams show and it was convenient and pleasant. Our server was Eddy who was very charismatic and helpful with the highlights of the menu. Although he was a little over attentive, his suggestions didn’t disappoint. I think the food was interesting and plentiful but only slightly above mediocre in taste, in my opinion. I’m glad we experienced it but not sure if I’d recommend this place.
Upon arrival, I didn’t feel as though the service would be up-to-par. The reservation desk staff had to ask my name multiple times. They discussed amongst themselves where we would sit. One person suggested a table number. Another person snapped, “Not for a two-top.” I didn’t need this in my dining experience. Throughout our meal, the reservation staff continued to walk through our section of the restaurant with a clipboard, as though they could not remember where they placed customers. Twice, after we were seated, we were asked our name by the person with the clipboard.
We had to request bread, although all tables around us were served bread.
Our waiter, Justin, did an excellent job. He was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of.
this place came highly recommended to me, however, our food was mediocre. there were 6 of us in our party and all of our meals were "fair", nothing special. the portions were small, salads with our meals were $8-9 extra, no bread, the shrimp & grits tasted like grits & bottled bbq sauce, mashed potatoes tasted "funny", etc. I don't mind splurging for a good meal/night out in Atlanta, but I'm pretty sure I won't return. highly overrated.
First let me say our actual server was amazing! Everything else about our experience was terrible. We checked in for a 1pm reservation at 12:50 and the lead hostess was incredibly rude. She literally made us stand there until 1:00pm exactly before she’d check us in and the restaurant was easily only 50% full. She was also extremely rude to virtually everyone that walked in the door. Her attitude floored us. Once we were checked in, we stood there for another 20 minutes before she sat us. When we inquired about how much longer it would be (again, half the restaurant was empty) she snapped back at us to the point we almost left then had we not been STARVING. She talked down to everyone and wouldn’t even look at you when you spoke to her. She rolled her eyes at us and other customers on several occasions and didn’t even attempt to hide it. No one was even rude to her! I work in customer service and if I saw my employee treating customers like that, she’d be fired on the spot.
Once we were finally seated, our waiter was very friendly. He brought our drinks and bread out promptly because he knew how hungry we were. It took over 30 minutes for our salad/soups to arrive. We then sat there over an HOUR for our food. At that point the restaurant was only 20% full. The waiter repeatedly apologized to us and kept checking on the status of our food. He said he didn’t understand what was taking so long. You could hear staff members in the kitchen laughing, cussing and gossiping throughout the dining room.
The food was OK. My soup was definitely not worth the $18 price tag and they were out of several things we wanted.
Bottom line, we probably wouldn’t return. The fact that they allow such rudeness and unprofessional behavior in that type of atmosphere is unacceptable. It’s such a shame because I raved about how good it was to my coworkers and we could’ve just grabbed a sandwich at the CNN foodcourt and had a better experience. (And spent about $150 less)
We made a last minute reservation at Marrieta st. Atlanta location because we were staying at Omni. It was very busy due to Lady Gaga concert. We were seated within 10 min of reservation time. Waiter was very nice. Drink orders were a bit slow but food came in a reasonable time. Filet was great although a bit thinner than I prefer. Only complaintno bearnnaise sauce. Dessert was very good. Our first time at Mccormick and Schmicks, even though we have one in Charlotte, our home. Will try Charlotte location. No complaints. We regularly dine at Ruth's Chris and other similar restaurants. This wasn't too far off.
Probably one of the worst experiences ever particularly for a nice restaurant. My wife and I sat at the bar for cocktails and an appetizer. Our bartender's name was Tito. I have never seen anyone with a worst attitude and he totally lacked any customer service skills. If they did not split tips, he would not make a penny. I am just sorry for the people that have to work with him, at least I had the choice to leave!
Took my guy here for Father’s Day we made a reservation was checked in promptly our waiter was very attentive we only had one drink our food arrived promptly as well he had a well done rib eye cooked to perfection juices oozing out with broccoli(he said it was undercooked) and lobster tail and I had the crab and shrimp stuffed salmon with mash and snap peas worth every penny #atmosphere And vibe was excellent 💯✔️
We had poor service. Had to ask server two different times to refill our drinks. Never received our basket of bread and butter. We were dining at 6:30 pm and the desert, creme brûlée wasn't finished being cooked. Our entrees were excellent. We dine at one in Raleigh and has always been a five star. This dining experience was far from what the chain promises.
Went here for a late lunch on 10/7 and had the Rockafeller Oysters as an appetizer, and for my main dish I chose the Organic Salmon with beets and asparagus. Misty was a wonderful server, and was very attentive and took time out of what she was doing to make sure my son was included and even played along when my son called strawberries "candy". I will definitely be back!
The food was amazing. We order our appetizers and they came out rather fast and flavorful. The service at 1 stead amazing. The our main course came. It litelly gely like we went 20-30 minutes waiting for our meal to come out. Our server literally went to hell in a hand basket. Never came to check on us our give us an update on our meal. Our food came out and it was amazing. We asked for the desert menu and waited for an additional 15 minutes and he never brought to us. We asked for the bill as we had our 2 year old which at this time was running super anxious. We gave the server cash and it took him an additional 15 minutes to bring back our check. It was ridiculous if you ask me personally. We still tipped him 20% but if you ask me personally his service utterly sucked.
Terrible service. Took 45 min to get our drinks on a Tuesday and an hour and a half to get our food . My steak was over cooked (you would expect premium steak at a steak place with cooks that know how to cook your steak). my friend’s chicken in salad was raw and most orders were wrong. Terrible service and will NEVER eat here again!
Omg!!!!! The food was amazing the ambiance was to die for and my server Winston was the best. All the sights in the area were very nice. A must for anyone in the area
Great bar and grill reasturant for drinks, expanded seafood selection and basic steaks. The service was excellent. This place gets 4 stars because the lobster tail was over cooked at first, but our waiter made up for it with a prompt replacement.
