Quiet, ample space, but no drinking water. Had to get water from the hose in the nearby marina.

Wife and I stayed here over the 4th of July 2009. It's a fairly small campground along the river; only a few sites are on the river bank. There are group sites available. It's a primitive campground but all the sites are big enough for a small trailer, some were big enough for my 25' travel trailer but that's about maximum size. There is a hand pump for well water and a vault toilet - no running water. Most sites are shaded; there are a few that are not. If you stay here you can use the showers at Bolar Mnt - about a 10 min drive. There is a small camp store a few miles away where the boat ramp is down river. The sites are not particularly prepared other than trimming the grass/weeds - so if you're expecting prepared pads you're in the wrong place; if you're looking for a place to pitch a tent or park your pop-up/small RV/small trailer - look no further. It was nice outside of the yahoo that ran his generator all night charging his boat batteries.
