Since its opening in October 1986, the MAC has left lasting memories with more than 1.5 million audience members.
The MAC houses three theaters: the 793-seat Mainstage, where no seat is more than 16 rows, or 75 feet, from the stage; Theatre 2, a 195-seat hall featuring a "soft thrust" stage; and the Studio Theatre, a versatile, black-box performance space. Adjacent to the Mainstage lobby is the Gahlberg Gallery, a 90-by-25 foot space for visual art exhibition.

Last year, Steve Scott took on directing Buffalo Theatre Ensemble's production of "Outside Mullingar," and now he’s back again to direct the upcoming "Miracle on South Division Street." He talks about his process for pacing and comedic timing, and then gives a little insight about the characters and the hysterical struggles they endure throughout the show. "Miracle on South Division Street" opens on May 2.

The New York Times perfectly sums up why George Orwell's iconic novel, "1984" stands the test of time. Director Amelia Barrett says "In my mind, Orwell wrote 1984 as a warning... Orwell's ideas ask us to remain heedful to the 'truth' we are influenced by through political language rather than force."
