Recently moved here from Jersey and SO happy we found Mays! Prices as well as quality of items is superb! Will not go anywhere else. It was a little busy the first time we went but we probably looked lost (or most likely amazed at prices and excellent selection) because we had two people ask us if we needed assistance. Thank you Mays and PLEASE keep everything the same!

Mays Meats is the best North Carolina meat and food supply company. The Mays Meats workers and staff will treat you like family when you visit the hometown store in Taylorsville. In the retail store, you'll find the best meat products and food products around and the sugar-cured country ham, Sugar Grove, is out of this world delicious. Mays Meats is where quality product meets small town values! You can count on it!!

Drove 30 miles to try out Mays Meats. Talked to a person earlier about purchasing a half of beef and prices. Went in and grabbed 5-10# of assorted beef products to try. Went to checkout waited patiently and when it became my turn cashier walked off without saying anything. The line behind me immediately jumped to the next cashier. Figuring maybe she just had to help someone and would be back I waited. She comes back later which at this time I'm at the end of the line no matter what looks at me and walks off. I proceeded to do the same as I left what I had picked out on her counter and will never be back. I consider this to be rude,something I haven't even experienced at Walmart. Couldn't tell you if their products are good or not just rotten customer service practices.
