The population was 177 at the 2000 census.GeographyMaunie is located at .According to the 2010 census, Maunie has a total area of 0.16sqmi, all land.DemographicsAs of the census of 2000, there were 177 people, 77 households, and 48 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,096.2 people per square mile (427.1/km²). There were 98 housing units at an average density of 607.0 per square mile (236.5/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 94.35% White, 1.69% African American, 1.13% Native American, 0.56% Asian, and 2.26% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.56% of the population.There were 77 households out of which 23.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.6% were married couples living together, 10.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.4% were non-families. 31.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.30 and the average family size was 2.84.In the village, the population was spread out with 20.9% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 27.7% from 25 to 44, 28.2% from 45 to 64, and 16.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 43 years. For every 100 females there were 113.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.0 males.
