  This place is nestled in the heart of the hustling downtown hendersonville. A cute place with a half old timey feel. Down stairs they sell sweets and novelty items like stick horses and cowboy hats. They have pocket knives and handmade leather bags. Upstairs is true outdoor clothing and gear.

  If you were in downtown Hendersonville North Carolina and you’re looking for some clothing, this is the place for you. I guaranteed you will find something that you like. This is not an overpriced clothing store like most little small towns have. Prices here are good and occasionally they have a sale, so check them out.

  Something for everybody. They have some good end-of-season sales. Otherwise some items are priced a bit high. Convenient downtown location. Good selection of outerwear, gear, nostalgic candy and toys, souvenirs.

  Great old-timey general store has a little bit of everything one needs for a mountain lifestyle. Penny candy, cast-iron cookware, hiking and camping gear, and a very helpful staff! A must for any visitor and Hendersonville resident.

  This place is very cozy and the staff is wonderful at helping you find what it is that you're looking for. The merchandise is a little overpriced, but it is a very quaint place to shop. It is located around several things that are worth doing. The town itself is very beautiful!

  Gosh I love this store! Apparel, gifts, old time candy and games, plus the creaky wooden floor. Parking is the only issue, but they are downtown, so thats the way it goes. Unique shopping experience though. Great to take out of town guests to.

  Mast General is perhaps one of most interesting stores that appeals to me, women and children alike. So much to see and so many unique items that you don't find in ordinary stores. We have visited several of their employee owned locations and have enjoyed "finding treasures" in this one.
  If you get the chance, visit one of the original locations in Valle Cruces.

  Such an eclectic and wonderfully curated selection of goods! It was so fun to wander around the store with my family (ages 15 months to 71 years old), and everyone found something enjoyable to look at. The employees were all really friendly and eager to offer assistance. My uncle jokingly asked an employee if he could have a free sample of some candy he hadn't eaten since he was a kid, and it was a nice surprise when she told him that he could! We found a lot of wonderful items to take home, and some prices were less than what we saw elsewhere online. Can't wait to return here again soon!

  A great store Mast General store. Has clothing to cookware to toys and candy and hiking gear upstairs. A great spot to hit if in downtown Hendersonville.

  Great selection of hiking and camping gear. Prices are about the same for comparable gear at REI. Nice selection of knives. Only place around that carries Helle. Great selection of maps too.

  Definitely a fun place to shop, with a large selection. Vintage-style children's toys and games, camping and outdoor gear, and clothing. I have only rated it 4 stars based on the high prices compared with other local venues. In short, looking for a great gift or clever decorations for around the home - this is the place to go! If you are needing sleeping bags, tents, and other more expensive outdoor gear I would consider shopping around.
