We stayed in Fun Mountain House for my bday and had a blast. A private indoor swimming pool just for us? Yes please! It's right there in the house.
I think some of these bad reviews people left must have been intended for another company. This place doesn't have cabins they have houses also the office staff are very helpful and professional. They are by far the best crew my family has dealt with when we are renting a place to go on vacation. I've told friends and family and co workers about Massanutten Vacation because we have nothing but good things to say about them. I know 2 fam members have booked and stayed and a co worker is going there MLK weekend 2017.

We found Massanutten Vacation by chance searching the internet. It was a very last minute getaway for New Year's holiday. The ladies in the office were both super professional and helpful. They had limited inventory but were able to book us in the perfect house for our family. The house was as advertised and very clean. The office was closed during a portion of our stay but they do have a maintenance department for emergencies. We were very happy and will return!

We had a great Christmas getaway in a Massanutten vacation house. Enjoyed the fireplace, pool table, hot tub and views. The kids learned to ski! We've already made plans to come back next Christmas.

We stayed in Grey Rocks Lodge. They weren't kidding when they said top of the hill and great views! Be prepared for a very steep climb to the house and parking your car on a steep hill. A bit psychologically intimidating to some in our party, and tough for our elderly parents to get in and out. While a nice layout with room for our whole party, we had problems from the start. The air conditioning was broken upon our arrival. Management / Maintenance quickly notified, but it was not repaired and took much of our vacation time dealing with the issue instead of relaxing. And we were HOT! While the management attempted to have someone come repair it, the service folks ended up arriving at midnight when the entire house was asleep! We didn’t feel comfortable letting them in at that hour, and asked them to come back in the morning, which they did not. From that point on, we were told that we had sent the repair folks away and that it was our problem that it didn't get fixed. The management never owned up to the fact that the house wasn't ready for our arrival per the contract, and refused to give us any consideration on the rental price. This place could be really nice with a little more routine maintenance and cleaning. For example, many surfaces were sticky, a few of the entertainment systems did not work, some shower doors didn’t close which caused water to leak on the floor (a problem for the elderly parents), some blinds were broken, and bathroom exhaust fans didn’t work. Many of these issues could be easily overlooked, but the real issue for us was a non-customer oriented management company when we had a problem. They were great when we were booking the property and checking in, as well as following up after our stay with the damage deposit. Massanutten overall was very relaxing and had activities for the whole family to enjoy.

The cabin we stayed in was beautiful, but this management company is a mess. A few weeks before our rental period, they let us know that WiFi was no longer offered at the cabin, but would not even consider a partial refund given that this was an advertised amenity when we booked. When we arrived at the property, one of the bedrooms was locked/off limits - the house had been advertised to us as having beds for 12 but there were only beds for 9. We were also told we'd have 50 private acres, but mid-way through our stay we found out they had rented a field on the property to a boy scout troop for an event. Would NEVER rent through this company again! Clearly just out to nickel and dime people as much as possible.
