This is a time share resort and we were there for a presentation and tour of their facility. Beautiful location and nice accommodations, low key sales pitch and supervisor follow-up. Would have bought into a time share if would of had the down payment. We were given a three day, two night certificate good there for up to a year later and a reward card that can be used anywhere. Looking forward to using the certificate for a later get away
Loved our stay in Massanutten. The rooms were clean, the staff were so friendly, and the grounds were incredible. Highly suggest booking this trip for your next vacation
Go ever year with family since I was a newborn I am 25 now :D There are always great updates happening but this year we bought the discovery pass and man what a great deal for only $45 and you get so many activities. I recommend if you have kids or just a person that loves to do a alot of activities at the resort. Also went horse back riding which was a ton of fun.
Great place to take your family for vacation and the rooms are plenty big enough we have a family of eight and has a nice kitchen. They have two great golf courses and plenty of swimming pools indoor and out. There are plenty of activities to do while you are there on your vacation, like horseback riding arts and crafts and just sightseeing tours. Check in with customer service is easy and fast and also check out with no problems at all.
We love Massanutten!! A lot of the rides our 3.5 year old JUST made the height/weight limits (tubing, go carts, jumping). The waterpark would be fantastic for all ages!! It is a beautiful area - everyone is so friendly, and there is a lot of wildlife roaming around! We can't wait to explore the area again!
Me and my girlfriend stayed 3 days and 3 nights here We are more or less city folk so it was a great place to get away. very quite, beautiful, and clean. I didn't like how ever activity was very expensive, I understand you have to charge for things but I thought it was very over priced. No complaints about the room it was clean and quite. Plenty of things to do if you have plenty of money. If not like my girl and I we did a lot of sight seeing and adventuring. And it was fun. A little something for everyone up here.
True, many activities cost extra but with passes cost is minimal and there is sooo much fun stuff to do. Don't miss drive to top of mountain.
We own a timeshare so our cost for a very affordable for a relaxing getaway. Love seeing deer and groundhogs.
Restaurant at golf course is our favorite place to eat out; one at water park only okay. We've been coming for +- 8 years and look forward to our next stay.
I have been to Massanutten Resort about 6 -7 times. I wouldn't call this a resort considering nothing is included. Every little thing you have to pay additional money for. While my family enjoys our stay we do wish there were some changes. There isn't very much for younger kids to do, if your kid isn't at least 8 then they can't do majority of the things. Its such a pain that everything is so spaced out, you have to drive to everything. There is no night life at all, its like the whole place shuts down at 8pm. Come on people are on vacation, we as a family sleep in and like to enjoy more of the later evening but by then 1/2 of the things are already closing. We did in enjoy the music on the deck one night and was amazed that it was still going on past 8pm. Finally a little bit of night life. Overall its a very clean and nice place but there isn't as much to do and the Water park is great but over priced. It shouldn't be $40 per person, maybe $25 at most. As a family we are bored with it about 4 hours in.
This place is AMAZING. The amount of different activities you can do here is great. They offer a full activities pass you can buy to save money. The water park is so fun - pools, indoor/outdoor hot tubs, and slides (fun for adults too!). Also if you like canoeing, kayaking, or tubing they offer it at tier 1. Was very fun, they teach you everything. Horseback riding was a blast, 1 hour long and through the woods. Condos are all very well kept and everyone is so nice. Definitely coming back many times!!
Very fun resort! Mountain didn't have many runs though but they maintain it as well as they can. I learned to ski in Colorado and as far as east coast skiing goes this is a fine little resort. Great spa too. Tickets are pricy. You will probably only need a 4 hour ticket.
I came here for my honeymoon. A honeymoon in the mountains was so beautiful that I can't really put it into words. I went in the fall so the leaves were changing and there was sooo much to see. There's a petting zoo, a water park, recreational park, snack shops, massage parlors, timeshares etc. Its amazing! I want to go back.
Regal Vistas lodging is great because they are newly built. The rest of the resort is dated. The ski and tubing areas were closed during our stay. I was very disappointed.
Complete and Total Scam! They have this maintenance fee that is due every year, which I was informed. So I call them last year and have this dealt with and said I was good to go. Now I call this year to pay my maintenance fee and they state I haven't paid it and a collection is against me. I did this by mistake and that is my fault, but their accounting department keep track of records and conversations like children. Great place, but if you get a timeshare there, be prepared for the WORST accounting office, they are there for themselves and could care less about you, the customer, the people who pay for their jobs to even be in existence.
I am an OWNER at Massanutten Resort, Massanutten, VA and I am totally delighted to be an owner. IT IS A TIME SHARE. It also has hotels that can be rented along with some units. If you are looking for a place to relax, let your hair down, and have a sense of returning to nature, Massanutten Resort is the place.
I read through a few of the very negative comments about the Massanutten sales representatives, and I have not met with all of them, but with at least eight or more, and they have never been a more professional group of men and women. Do they push hard to get you to buy into the Massanutten Resort, yes, and so do every car sales representative that I have ever met.
My family and I look forward to our weeks at Massanutten. It is the perfect get away, and when money is low and a vacation is needed, it is a two-hour drive from our busy hectic city life.
I highly recommend Massanutten Resort and its accommodations. My grandchildren want to live there!
