Congratulations to Dalvin Hollaway, Past Grand Master on receiving his 50-year award and jewel. South Umpqua Lodge No. 72 even presented him with a 50-year jacket.

This is a great moment in any Mason's #MasonicJourney and we send warm, fraternal wishes to MWB Hollaway.

Some great sights from South Dakota as the #OregonFreemasonry leadership attended the 2019 Conference of Grand Masters of North America.

Did you know Mt. Rushmore was sculpted by two Freemasons?

Both Gutzon Borglum and his son Lincoln Borglum, who designed and sculpted the National Memorial, were members.

Consider on this #PresidentsDay - in what ways, large or small, do you serve your country?

Join us in wishing a Happy 101st Birthday to our Brother, Harold Johnson. He's a 60+ year #OregonFreemason and member of Holbrook Lodge #30, A.F. & A.M. He's also a recipient of the Hiram Award (1993) and Lodge Secretary of the Year (2011).

When you think of Masonic-affiliated charities that help children, the Shriners Hospitals for Children or the Scottish Rite Freemasonry's Children's Dyslexia Centers are probably the first to come to mind. However, did you know that St. Jude Children's Research Hospital was founded by a Freemason? Today's Famous Freemason Friday, actor Danny Thomas, 33°, was made a Mason at sight by the Grand Master of the The Grand Lodge of New Jersey Free & Accepted Masons, in 1984. When pe...ople asked him why he had wanted to join, he said, "because Masons care for those who cannot care for themselves." On top of founding St. Jude's and being actively involved in the Fraternity, Bro. Danny also had a successful career in the film and television industry, helping create "The Dick Van Dyke Show" and "The Andy Griffith Show," among others. He died in 1991 and is buried on the grounds of the hospital with his wife, Rose Marie. #FamousFreemasonFriday
