Martin Lowenthal was one of the youngest members of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange at 23 and one of the founding members of the equity options, financial futures and commodity exchanges in South Africa.
Martin spent 10 years as a partner at a boutique investment bank where he oversaw the nationwide trading desk that serviced institutional investors and high net worth individuals. Martin advised and executed equity and derivative strategies based on both fundamental and technical analysis.
The firm also helped small to medium size enterprises access capital with mezzanine finance, IPO and asset securitization and general financial advisory. Martin was a regular markets commentator on national radio, Bloomberg and Reuters.

Martin has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Cape Town as well as an MS in Investment Management from Boston University. Martin is an active angel investor and sponsor of Boston Harbor Angels. Martin is a board member of the JNF, Jewish National Fund in the New England Zone. He is also a member of the MDRT Million Dollar Round Table.
Martin holds FINRA 7, 63 & 65 licenses, CLTC, Corporation for Long Term Care Certification as well as Life, accident and health insurance. Martin lives in Newton, MA with his wife Laura and three daughters.
