Waldorf Action Martial Arts was established in 1987 to offer the Waldorf Community a quality family environment in which to practice the martial art of Taekwondo.
We offer exciting karate programs for all ages and interests.
From our pre-school children’s martial arts programs to our adult taekwondo and fitness kickboxing classes, our instructors are dedicated to helping you and/or your family achieve your individual goals.
No other activity can provide the same results as martial arts for each individual participant. We offer:
• Little Dragons classes (for ages 4-6)
• Juniors Karate program (ages 7-13)
• Competition and Weapons training
• After School Karate (transportation provided!) and Summer Karate Camp
• Adult Fitness Classes
Whether your goals are self-confidence, self-defense, personal development, fitness, and flexibility or to earn a black belt, our school will take you there.

From the first time you enter our school, you’ll realize Waldorf Action Martial Arts is unlike any other school in the area. That’s because we always teach with a relaxed demeanor in a family-centered environment. (Note: Many of the parents of our younger students also practice at our school.)

We don’t demand discipline or respect. We earn it. We teach a traditional Korean Martial Art in a very untraditional atmosphere. Our instructors entertain as well as educate and inspire our students to reach for their personal best.
Martial Arts Programs For All Ages:
At WAMA we have a program for just about everyone in your family. Our programs are structured so that our students develop a wide variety of personal safety skills, including kicking, punching, and blocking. As our students learn these skills, they are also absorbing the social and mental benefits for which the martial arts are renowned: self-discipline, respect, courage, honesty, compassion, commitment, and self-sacrifice.
Honoring Yesterday’s Traditions With Today’s Sensibilities:
At Waldorf Action Martial Arts, we not only teach our students to defend themselves we teach them to better themselves mentally, physically, and socially. Although we honor martial arts traditions that go back centuries, we are not static. We constantly seek new and innovative ways to inspire and excite our students.

Waldorf Action Martial arts Operates a Full-Service Pro-Shop open to the public. We carry a full line of martial arts-related products including uniforms, belts, sparring gear, and training equipment.
