I missed my flight out of Key WestI know.hard to believe but it happened! I stopped at the Marquesa Cafe and Hotel..had the Lobster and Shrimp with Quinoa and a vegetable medley. I think I waited almost 45 minutes for my food but it was beyond worth it. Everyone has an idea of what seafood is and how it should be made. I loved the combination of flavor and that the place was quaint and the lighting added to the relaxed atmosphere and the staff was kind and friendly without being pushy or rude. The menu is a tad pricey but you are getting real food not just something out of a box. Dinner hour here is relaxed. Go in set down and rest and relax on the island while enjoying some magnificent food.

Great location, and it's very quiet, so you're close to Duval Street if you want to go out, but it's secluded enough that you can have a good night's sleep without the noise of the bars

I have to raise my rating, because I had two employees that were amazing on two completely different days. I'm not going to let one bad employee (who should be fired) ruin a business. I wasn't able to get the irate employees name, just a license plate (Florida Tag: BFW D69). This guy was verbally abusive and he is not meant for the hospitality business.

Check in was great very helpful staffand knowledgable about the area, they were happy to help and give suggestions. It is a very unique place where we felt more like we were staying at a friends beach house than a hotel. Location was amazing and prices for amentitites in the room were very reasonable where some places charge you 5 dollars for a water etc Loved it and will definitely be checking here first for our stay on our next visit

Wonderful stay! Alex was great, super helpful with awesome suggestions for all the meals! We loved the room. The complimentary glasses of wine were unexpected. Complimentary coffee in the morning,ice tea and water at poolside was welcomed.

The marquesa is a wonderful hotel in a beautiful landmark building two blocks from the insanity and excitement of duval. It's a private and quiet oasis away from it all. No kids so it's very peaceful.

“Beautiful hotel, excellent location”
They think of everything. Staff very friendly and attentive. Lots of little extras including a nightly turn-down service when they actually replace used towels. We were there over Christmas and received as a gift both an elegant box of Belgian chocolates and a complimentary breakfast buffet. Our room, #6, was spacious (two sinks in the bathroom!) and comfortable. And the location is terrific, just a half block from Fausto's grocery store (there's a small fridge in the room) and one block from our favorite breakfast spot, Sarabeth's. Many of Old Town's best restaurants, including the Marquesa Cafe, and stores within easy walking distance.

I would highly recommend this hotel with its beautiful landscape and pools that create a feeling of serenity only two blocks from Duval Street. I stayed in room 21 where I enjoyed breakfast every morning on its large private balcony. The friendliness and service of the people working here can't be matched by many other accommodations!
