Always a favorite to stop in when travelling one of the nicest drives in Georgia-197
A perfect quirky place with great local art pieces
I've been coming to Mark of the Potter for about 17 years. It never disappoints. The staff are friendly, the back deck view is amazing, the atmosphere is relaxing, the selection of pottery is extensive, and if you can catch a Potter working it's an even better experience. I started coming in high school, and now I got to share it with my wife and three daughters. Debbie D. included my girls in part of her work and taught them about the process of making pottery. It's definitely worth the drive from Helen and the north Georgia mountains as a fun hour shopping and education excursion. Make sure you go downstairs to see the "underground" waterfall!
Beautiful scenery, great place to buy pottery.
This is a really cool place to stop by and visit. Lots of nice pottery and the huge trout are a must see! I've been going by this place when I go to the mountains for 30+ years.
We really enjoyed this little shop. It was fun to feed the fish and go downstairs to look at the old mill. Nice pottery! We bought a couple of pieces. Beautiful drive and definitely not out of the way! Will visit again.
Very relaxing place. Great to visit
A must stop for our family for 25+ years!!! The trout are amazing and bigger than you've ever seen! Stop and feed the trout❤
This is a must visit place when my family goes to Helen, GA. There are lots of different potters represented plus often there is a potter at work at the wheel. Outside on the deck which hangs over the river it is quiet and can be enjoyed for a minute or an afternoon. My grandchildren loved feeding the huge trout that congregate near the deck.
