Very informative. We found out about some cool local stuff. There is also a cool island you can walk to with a bridge over the river.

The most helpful welcome center I have been to in any state, ever. I have never thought of a welcome center as a cozy place, but this one is. If I was local, this would be a nice place to visit and picnic, too!

My wife and I recently traveled from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with our destination being Rapid City, South Dakota. We stopped at this Welcome Center on 10/07/16 and found the gentleman at the counter to be EXTREMELY helpful. He helped us plan the whole trip, plus included maps through all the states. He was instrumental in making our trip a great success.

As welcome centers go this is a very nice place to stop to stretch you legs of you're transiting to and from Wisconsin to the UP. Plenty of parking and easy access to picnic areas Stephenson Island. Toss a lure in the Menominee River and try your luck at trying into a walleye or smallie.
