AWFUL!! JUST AWFUL!!! Okay, I changed my mind, some teachers here needs to learn respect! My english teacher here does not take requests very seriously. Let’s say for instance, I ask her for homework, then she’ll say “I’M NOT LETTING YOU DO THAT AS HOMEWORK”! Anyways, THIS SCHOOL IS ABSOLUTE TRASH!!!!!!!!! And some need to learn to take requests seriously. Horrendous :(

Only high school in Maricopa not really many choices unless you choose to send your kids to a different district or pathway charter school. MHS has some quality teachers , that do a really great job and really care about educating the students but they also have some that need to be fired because they are not qualified to train a rat let a lone teach students. Administration is ok alot of new people . With any school take the good with bad and make sure your student works hard and makes smart choices. Kids will be kids and need to be taught at home 1st then school and teachers will be teachers and can only do so much.

This school acts decently. Teachers mainly being the highlight, but that's personal experience that mostly is uncontrollable. Students, as you would expect, are less than super, but like teachers that's understandable and uncontrollable from an external standpoint. A big negitive is staff, primarily office staff, they are generally helpful and get their job done, but (and this may be any school) they are generally disconnected from students and seem like a entirety different section of what should be an entire school. There also is a, seemingly, unprofessional disconnect from the school and parents, and a reliance on students to do the leg work for staff. An example is staff not directly contacting parents, and Instead having students deliver information, papers, or important news. A huge problem with the school as well is overpopulation, the campus is the only in the area, and services the entire town of Maricopa alone (exept private institutions). And as a result of this, there is a student population of around 3,000, and on class there is one teacher for around an average of 30+ students. I believe that for this school to achieve more, it needs to have office staff worked out, and the district needs to start considering a new highschool. In a town with 7 elementary schools, and 2 middle schools, there is no sensible reason for there only being one high school other than cost and that it works fine egnough for them not to undergo such a large project.

It's an okay high school, but it's very unsafe. I have 2 things I like about this. Culinary is what I mostly enjoy. And a new world history teacher I have currently is one of the most nicest teacher I may rely on (Sometimes sarcasm always gets me, and I like the way she uses analogies). A lot of things I don't like about this wack school. Last year was just awful and sad; made me wanna intimidate. Now the new freshmen is overcrowding the whole school and made me late for random classes. Anyway, about my freshmen year, I'd ditch Algebra 1, cause I hated it, and that teacher I had treated me like a sargeant from Hacksaw Ridge. And this one science teacher I had last year; he's an okay teacher. Too much bullying, fighting, and a very insufficient amounts of people who don't want to communicate with me. I'd gave it a 4 out of 10. I somehow would not reccomend on coming here to this school. I wished it was a safe environment, but it's not. This year for me is a bit better.

Beautiful, state of the art, school. It gets amazing funding from government, lots of resources, money, thus lots of opportunities for school's students!

Beautiful, state of the art, school. It gets amazing funding from government, lots of resources, money, thus lots of opportunities for school's students! However the administration of the school does not consider attention to kids with special needs to be important. Autistic student's needs are ignored, and instead of getting behavior help, which is common nowadays in most schools in US, autistic students are even being punished for their symptoms instead. Teachers of this school should be more educated not only in their subjects but also in all modern trends of child development, and respect the right of children with special needs to be equal. This is what this country stands for.

We have been here for a little over 2 months, relocated from Texas. I have to say Maricopa high is a horrible, sad, lazy school. Their programs are a joke, unless it's football. Football is the only thing that matters to these people, and that's fine if your student was able to play, but my child is a girl so football is out. It's so sad to see that programs like band are pushed aside and not taking care of, and it shows! This school cares nothing for the success of their students. If you move here DO NOT PUT YOUR CHILD IN MARICOPA HIGH, PUT THEM IN ANOTHER SCHOOL!

One of the best schools ive attended with an outstanding group of teachers who want you to succeed. Plus the CTE classes are incredible its an amazing experience to do the culinary arts program you dont just learn how to Cook you learn team work And how to host a restaurant. The credit recovery classes are also well arranged i had help and managed to graduate 2012.
