Reserved this for my photographer in October. He arrived in Scottsburg about 4 hours after I reserved it. When he went to use the bathroom, there were roaches. Went to the office. Rude. Wouldn't refund money because it was more than 2 hours since I paid for the room. Photographer had to go to another hotel and pay for it out of his own pocket. I was ashamed of the experience we went through. Not even an apology.
Conveniently located right in town close to multiple restaurants, and several stores. Room was clean. At check in staff was friendly and helpful. Evening staff seemed to be annoyed when we needed their help
Not too good, lady checking me in didn't even work there, no outlets. Bathroom was dirty, behind the beds was nasty. Was a place to sleep that's about it. Only gets 2 stars for being sleepable.
Friendly clean decent good for the money
Room was fine, beds comfortable, clean, carpet new. Bathroom was not in as good of shape, tiny soap bars, no shampoo, small towels. Breakfast was poor. But, the price was quite low.
Good, basic, reasonably priced
It's making me give the star. GROSS! The outside of the building and pool are quite deceiving. So outdated, everything was stained, chairs were torn. Lots of hotel chairs outside by rooms. People sitting out all night. Bugs just hanging out. Stuff poured down the walls. Bathroom tile falling off. I could go on. I would not recommend or stay there again.
Place is older but in very good condition. Pool is outside, well maintained. Previous night my stay was in a chain hotel, the shower did not work there . The stay at Mariann Travel Inn was much appreciated after that. Thanks
Checked in on Friday for 3 nights woke up Saturday with no hot water was told it would be fixed on Sunday afternoon. What kind of place has no hot water. What I find more disturbing is how clean are the towels and sheets now that they are being washed in cold water. Glad I have my own!!!
The place was nice and cheap but you get what you pay for
Had a job to do in Scottsburg, which required staying the night. I checked in at the Mariann Travel Inn in Scottsburg. THE room smelled of cheap air freshener, and just felt dirty. The feeling of not wanting to put your luggage on the floor. let alone walk around in it without shoes. . Not worth the $70 dollars they charged for the night. As far as the town goes BORING, nothing to see or do. No wonder theres such a big drug problem here
This place is pretty worn out. You can tell it was built a long time ago. It is the type of place that the front desk advertises weekly rates. It was clean and I would stay again as long as I was paying under fifty bucks but my wife was not very impressed with my selection when we got there.
No, its not the Hampton, but I got a good value. Friendly staff. We stayed in room 115 and it was clean and inviting with functional, if modest, amenities like flat TV, mini fridge, hair dryer. AC worked and wasn't loud. Mattresses were good quality and comfortable. No evidence of pests (and I looked thoroughly). Everything appeared to be in good working order except for a little mold at the top of the shower stall. Water was very hot and the pressure was quite good. Continental breakfast was okay, coffee was blah. On the whole a good experience. I've been in hotels that cost much more and weren't as nice. Would stay there again.
