We provide a full range of primary care and HIV specialist services at our primary office in Waimea. We are pleased to have additional locations in Hilo, Kona, Ocean View, Makawao & Wailuku.

Mango Medical Waimea is the office of Dr. Timothy Duerler, a Board-Certified Family Physician/HIV Specialist, Malcolm MacDonald, MD, Anthony Lo DPM as well as Amy Duerler, Judy Casarella and Joshua Lessard-Chaudoin, Family Nurse Practitioners.

The Mango Foundation is dedicated to supporting innovative approaches to community-wide healthcare needs both at home in Hawaii, and worldwide.

Two of our current initiatives are:

GLOBAL: Swaziland, one of the poorest countries in sub-Saharan Africa has been decimated by HIV/AIDS with over 42% of its entire population infected, leaving enormous numbers of orphaned and abandoned children. Mango Foundation partners with the New Hope Centre in Manzini to provide a permanent home, clothing, food, education, medical care, and other special projects to raise these children to be leaders in their own community, and excel at life.

LOCAL: Mango Foundation, in conjunction with Mango Medical has developed a program with the use of health coaches, a strong focus on nutrition, healthy living, and other modalities to drastically reduce chronic diseases such ad diabetes in a small pilot study without the reliance on pharmaceutical medications. The Foundation hopes to expand their program into a larger study for the Hawaii community.
