Very, very slow service. The restaurant was not very busy at all. Emoty tables and booths in both rooms. We were all shocked. Never saw it like that. Been a while since I had been there, but I will tell you I won't be back! Definately has gone downhill!!!!!

Sadly this is hit or miss 4 stars is being generous for most nights. If you hit a good night food & service are GREAT, if you hit a bad night you wasted $50 on a steak & a drink. Roll the dice

Just edited my review & dropped it another star. Way over priced & service was not that good. When a table of two drops $150+ on dinner & drinks I expect quite a bit more than we received.

I had high expectations going into Macuit's Tavern as this is a hometown place for my wife and she had previously raved about the steaks. I ordered a NY steak with a baked potato. I found the steak to be underwhelming. It tasted oddly seasoned and seemed oily. Maybe some kind of butter topping? Either way it was not my thing. The potato itself was very dry. The final tab worked out to be roughly $50 a plate when drinks and tip were factored in. It was a disappointing experience given the expectations and price.

Wonderful food. Great service! ! First time thereI'm a customer for life! Best steak, chicken and fish we tried them ALL. A short drive to Stausburg. ..worth EVERY MILE!!! Reservations recommended. Try themyou ll LOVE THEM!

Service was slow at first. Biggest surprise was the menu. Roughly $5-$6 dollars more than the one I found online. Food was great. Price was a little highreally high if you take into consideration the attitude and demeanor of service.

Ordered a $30 Porterhouse came out VERY rare (I ordered medium rare). They cooked it up it came out rare again, then a third cook up it came out burnt and well done. When I told waitress she sighed. The time to get refills and food was very long. Seemed they were under staffed.

Local tavern with good steaks, over priced for what you get but the sizzling butter/wine sauce helps cover up cheap meat.

Still a good local hang out!!
