Magnolia Jane could not have been a better choice for my bridal hair and makeup! Not only did Laura and her team do an absolute incredible job with me as the bride, but also my 7 bridesmaids, mother, and mother in law. Their work was absolutely stunning and they were so efficient we were all done a little early! This definitely made the getting ready process fun and SO stress free! So grateful for the wonderful work of Laura and her team at Magnolia Jane!

Oh my. Can I tell you how wonderful this place is?!
To know me, you know that my hair means a great deal to me and to find someone who will take special care of my tresses is a feat in itself as I have been burned many times.
I recently moved to Beaufort and having previously gone to an Aveda salon, I had a difficult time finding one Down East. I went a few months box dying my hair (I know, I know) and just when I thought I'd have to trek back to Raleigh for hair services, I found Magnolia Jane Salon on Instagram. My hair was damaged to say the least, and in desperate need of loving.
I went to see Lauren for a consult and showed her some pics of a change I was thinking about and she told me what she could do and reassured me that all was going to be ok.
Next was the appointment, it was with Holly. She and Lauren went over the notes from our consult and she began to help me with my transition.
Holly was ah-mazing and explained everything along the way, asking me lots of questions about my thoughts and how I would like to care for my hair, would I style it, wear it up or down, etc. Once she was finished, I felt like a new woman! I had color correction, and a haircut and I could not be happier with the results!

I had a wonderful experience! Holly cut my hair and made sure I got just what I wanted! I am pretty new to the area and love that I found a great place to get my hair done with a friendly staff that knows what they are doing! I would highly recommend coming to see these ladies!!

I went to this salon because they mention a scalp massage in their website. I did not even get my hair washed by the stylist and the massage never even crossed her mind. I got a horrible cut and had to comeback for it to be cut very short by the same stylist because the salon won't assign someone else to fix the first mistake. I will never return here.

This is the place to go in New Bern!! Great ambiance and skilled stylists. Ann treated me with a keratin treatment and a cut--I absolutely love it! So happy I found this salon--I will definitely be returning!

I always look forward to my appointments with Laura McGovern, Owner/Stylist at Magnolia Jane Salon. There are few people that I meet and have an instant connection, however, Laura has not only become my favorite hairstylist, but she is one of my best friends. Not only does she provide amazing color, haircut, and style with every visit, but she is also very interested in me as a person and how things are going in my life. She not only makes me feel good about my appearance, but she lifts my spirits and we always have a good laugh about something. Laura and her associate Ann Lane assisted with hair and make-up at my daughter's wedding for the bride and all the bridal party. Everyone was pleased and complimented. If you are looking for a great hairstylist and spa, I highly recommend Magnolia Jane Salon & Spa.
