Thanks to all of the organizers and volunteers. We had a great day.
Come on up! The weather is fine.
A longtime friend commissioned the paddle for Dragon Boat racing. Made to exacting specifications I believe it will serve her well. Not as light as carbon fiber but it is a lot prettier than carbon if I do say so myself. If you are looking to jazz up and personalize your paddling experience give me a call we can fix you up.
Tomorrow from 10 to 4 meet us at the Boats on the Boardwalk show in Traverse City. Downtown on the banks of the Boardman River. Yes the boardwalk is under water but there will be plenty to see on land including our newest boat the Canada Goose a 12' Pere Marquette solo canoe.
More than just beautiful boats.
We have been making paddles. Kayak paddles and canoe paddles of all sizes and designs. The two piece European style kayak paddles come from 220 cm to 250 cm complete with carbon fiber ferrules which can be feathered. All paddles have laminated hardwood shafts and fiberglass/epoxy/wood blades making them strong lightweight and long lasting. Call or write us now for yours. Kayak paddles $230, canoe paddles $150 plus tax and shipping.
Look for Mackinaw Watercraft in booths number 1 and 2 in the Dockside Traders area behind Mertaugh's.
Been making some paddles. These two are off to California tomorrow.
Contrary to what you may have heard, the Boats on the Boardwalk show has not been canceled. While it is true that due to historically high water levels, Lake Michigan has submerged the boardwalk along the river, the show must go on. Organizers are moving the entire show on to the dry land adjacent to Mackinaw Watercraft's traditional spot at the show. So come on up and enjoy an even closer look at all the fantastic wooden boats.
