Good food, would have given 4 stars if prices were a little lower.

DO NOT EAT HERE. Worst service I ever had at a Macayos. 60 minutes to be served after 45 minutes of waiting to be seated. Appetizers were wrong, drinks were wrong. Items were left off the main entrées. Manager was dismissive about the service, simply saying that they were busier than expected. Problem was, they weren't that busy. Such a bad experience. All I can say is stay away.

Apparently a landmark in phoenix that is closing but just to move. Came for first time and service is good. Huge restaurant with full bar on the dude with live music. Salsa tasted canned and food was just eh.

This pertains to the Macayo's on Scottsdale Rd.
The happy hour menu is misleading, at best. It states very clearly that the Monday Margarita is $6, usually $12. We were a party of 7. 3 of us ordered margaritas based on this menu. I was the only one to notice on the menu that I was charged $7.50 for the margarita. The waiter said the price only applied for drinks at the bar. He also claimed that it was in the small, VERY small, print on the menu. Why was the menu then left on the table???
Also, they changed their taco salad. The presentation is beautiful but where's the cheese? There was very little chicken in it, either.
Disgruntled customer. I am never going back there.

Sarah our waitress was extremely friendly and on point. Good size dishes. Chips were not oily like I have had other places. Thumps up

We came on a Wednesday night at 6pm, it wasn't that busy. In fact they had seats all over in the main dining and in the side room. They chose to put us at a table in the bar! We had 4 children with us. Unprofessional and inappropriate for a family to be seated in the bar with blaring music. Won't be returning even after they close this location and reopen it elsewhere. My husband and I started coming here since we were dating in high school. It's not what it use to be, which is sad because the service use to be awesome.
