went and was told it would be 40$ for a full set then towards then end it was changed to 50$. Nails look amazing but not happy about surprise price change
Very short and to the point but my gel polish hasn't really chipped and it's been about a week, over the phone told me a gel manicure was 20$ when it was all said and done they told me it was 30$ so I'm giving it 3 stars because they lied to me basically and I could have gone to the salon upstairs in the mall for 20$ and gotten the same resultsget on the same page people haha
A simple pedicure turned into the worst polish application! The massage part was nice but they had to get a second guy to fix the disaster of the polish application. It seemed like others were happy with their visit. I think I got a guy who was new or he just doesn't have the talent! Big Sad Face!
Got a shellac manicure Saturday night and by Sunday night the polish had started peeling off of three of my nails. I want back in after work on Monday to have those three nails fixed. The three they fixed ended up looking differently than the rest, so they redid all of them. Not 5 minutes after leaving the second time, and the polish is chipping right off again. I am now out not only the cost of this expensive manicure, but also TWO generous tips given to staff before I realized what terrible jobs they had done. I have been going to this place for years despite the consistently terrible service because their shellac manicures lasted so long. Now they have terrible service and terrible manicures.
I went to LyLy Nails with high hopes of good service (being that a friend recommended them to me). Unfornately, I got the opposite of my expectations. The staff were exhausted and it showed in the way they treated their clients (including me). The lady who serviced me put minimal effort into my nails. My nails were uneven, painted sloppily and rushed. I do not recommend this place.
I have been here two other times and had no problems, but yesterday I went in to get a pedicure and a fill. I got a pedicure because I'm going to Florida today and wanted them to get all the dry skin off my heels at first it looked like everything was all gone but by the time my fill was done I could already see my dry cracked heels. Then when I got my fill done the lady seemed like she didn't know what she was doing. There were two people would got pedicures and got their nails done and they finished before me!!! This lady cut my fingers so many times and I swear she kept going over and over the cuts just to hurt me. My fingers are so sore I can barely text. I also felt like she was taking forever on purpose. She literally just kept filing my nails over and over again. It took her almost an hour to do a fill I don't know if I will ever come back again.
I love this place! I've been going there for a couple years with no complaints. The staff is always so kind and helpful. I especially enjoy going to Kim- she has such a kind heart and really enjoys getting to know you. My nails never chip or smudge. I have gone to the high end nail salons in Milwaukee and they do not compare. I always end up back at Ly Ly Nails in Brookfield. I would highly recommend them!
I've always had a good experience here. One of my favorite places to get my nails done.
I love this place! I've been here many times over the years. I have had my nails (shelac/gel) peal off from the cuticle up if it was too thick. That used to happen a lot. *However*, in the past two years they've been great and last until they are grown out too far and I peal them off or have it taken off and redone a few weeks later. I'm sad to read some of these reviews, bc I've always found them very kind. Sure, the nail tech may not always have something to talk about with you, but if you try talking to them they will talk back and if not then you've found the only person in there that won't. Conversation skills people, ask questions. I have not always been approached when I walk in the door, and I understand the feeling of "yelling" across the room to tell them what I'm there for, but its the way they work, and I don't think it's based on how one looks as I'm a pasty white girl. I can say it can be perceived as rude, absolutely. Also, when people speak a different language and I can't understand it I wonder what's being said that can't be said in english, but I had a roommate in the Army that said she spoke her language as often as she could bc she didn't want to loose it being around mainly english speakers. So unless I've got something on my face or a boog in my nose and someone isn't telling me I'm not too worried about it. Kim, John, and Tony are all great nail techs. I've had others, but did not get their names. I wish they wore name tags so when I forget to ask I might catch a glimpse of the name tag before leaving!
Great prices, clean, friendly, and loved the finished product. Got a gel mani and pedi.
I went there with a friend and we wanted to get gel nails done. Well I had a bad feeling while watching the nail tech do my nails and I knew they weren't gel nails because she had mixed a powder with a liquid but I didn't say anything since It was the first time I got my nails done. Went home and did a lot of research on gel and acrylic nails and everything said that what I got is acrylic. Not happy at all. Also my nails don't look that good. Watch out for scams because they charge you more for what they say are "gel" nails when they are really acrylic. Won't be going there ever again
Horrible experience. I was treated very unfairly. I do believe it's because I'm African American. The owner was very unwelcoming. Wouldn't approach me at the receptionist desk, but when the next customer came in he walked over to greet her. I asked him what shellac colors match for the hands and feet. He just handed me the colors and walked away. I can understand if he was busy but he was not. It was very rude. I called to inform him of how I was mistreated. He did not try to apologize for his actions nor try to make up for it. Instead, he hung the phone up on me. I will never return here again.
