I‘m happy the weather is warming up and there‘s lots of fruit in season! 🍓
In the summertime, the increased heat can be balanced by adjusting your diet and nutrition. Eat lighter meals. Avoid heavy greasy food and avoid spicy foods. Eat seasonal fruits and vegetables, and eat foods that are cooling in terms of energetic temperature. Examples of cooling foods are strawberries, watermelon, cantaloupe, lemon, spinach, lettuce, asparagus, watercress, tomatoes, sprouts, cucumber, bitter melon, mung beans, seaweed, mint, dill, cilantro. Also keep cool by drinking lots of water to stay hydrated!
Align your mindset with miracles.
Fierce compassion 🔥
In Buddhism, there are images of wrathful deities that symbolize fierce compassion. The concept clarifies that compassion isn’t about being nice and doesn’t mean being passive, weak, or enabling. There are times when it is necessary to be firm, set boundaries, and take action. This could be in facing our own shadows, transforming our relationships, or fighting for social justice.
We can see the goodness in people but challenge them when they fall away from it and hold them accountable. We can love people enough to tell them the truth and bring authenticity into relationships. Fierce compassion is about speaking up and taking bold action with understanding, wisdom, and heartfelt intention.
Preparing for a full day of acupuncture clients. ✨ My acupuncture treatments are infused with other therapeutic modalities to create a multi-sensory healing experience. I work this way because when we open our sensory orifices (sight, sound, smell, taste, touch), we activate our portals of perception and we can experience the world in a different and healthier way. This shifts the patterning of the body and mind in a holistic approach and accelerated pace, and opens up possibilities for great illumination and transformation. Grateful for this space where I witness so much healing and so many miracles. 💛
Cong Bai :: Scallion:: This is a widely used cooking ingredient in Taiwanese dishes. In Chinese Medicine, scallions are considered pungent and warming. They promote circulation of qi, increase yang and warmth in the body, and help the body sweat out toxins. Scallions are used medicinally to treat colds, allergies, and upper respiratory congestion.
A tip that I learned from my mother - Use the green part of scallions and save the white part with the roots. Plant it in soil and it will grow big again. You’ll have scallions forever! 🌱

Full bloom 🌼 Acupuncture for labor induction is a safe and natural treatment to prepare mama and baby for a smooth labor and delivery!
I often see pregnant mamas reaching out to me in desperation at 39-42 weeks to induce labor. While acupuncture is effective at any time, it’s ideal for pregnant mamas is to come in for acupuncture during the whole third trimester because it’s so beneficial!
Acupuncture in the third trimester helps with low back pain, sciatica, pelvic pain, c...arpal tunnel pain, fatigue, swollen hands and feet, digestive issues, constipation, breech position, insomnia, anxiety, worry, overwhelm, and of course, labor preparation.
With regular acupuncture treatments, mama’s body is strong and balanced, and baby is getting good nourishment with blood flow to the uterus. Then labor happens at the right time, and there is an easeful delivery and quicker postpartum recovery.

See MoreFire Cupping 🔥 . . I use cupping in conjunction with acupuncture to help relieve tense shoulder and back muscles from computer work, driving, and lifting weights. 💪 The suction from the cups reduces muscle tension, increases blood flow, promotes lymphatic drainage and detoxification. . The height of yang at this time of year gives more sunshine, warmth, and longer days. There is energy of expansion, movement, and activity. Harness the yang energy by engaging in more physical exercise. Enjoy being outdoors. Explore what piques your curiosity and excites you.
This weekend I hiked up to 2,600 feet at Pinnacles. The unique rock formations are remnants of an ancient volcano that got moved by tectonic forces. One of the most exciting things about the hike was seeing lots of hawks and condors! 🦅
“Deep listening is the kind of listening that can help relieve the suffering of another person. You can call it compassionate listening. You listen with only one purpose: to help him or her to empty the heart.” - Thich Nhat Hanh
Holding space for healing to happen 💗
Clearing energy and blessing space. So much can be unblocked and released during acupuncture sessions ✨
I love supporting my clients through life changes and transitions. I have seen that big shifts in life can cause physical symptoms and emotional imbalances, and also bring on spiritual upgrades.
Often there are spiritual issues that come up when I work with clients. This includes energy clearing, centering/grounding, trauma healing, family/ancestral healing, integration, updating identity, clarifying values, assessing needs, visioning, manifestation, aligning to purpose, and empowerment.
In sessions with clients, I offer acupuncture treatment infused with other healing modalities to address physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual layers in a holistic way. ✨
As an acupuncturist and birthworker, I draw upon traditional practices from Chinese Medicine and knowledge from my family passed through generations to support clients with healthy pregnancy. Ancient wisdom for modern times! 🌿
Physical symptoms during pregnancy that acupuncture can treat include preventing miscarriage, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, fatigue, insomnia, back pain, hip pain, pelvic pain, body swelling, gestational hypertension, gestational diabetes, breeched posit...ion, and labor induction.
Emotional symptoms during pregnancy that acupuncture can treat include stress, anxiety, depression, worry, fear, anger, sadness, and overwhelm.
Acupuncture is beneficial while trying to conceive and throughout the entire pregnancy. I especially encourage pregnant mamas to come in for acupuncture during the first trimester to establish a strong foundation for the pregnancy, and during the third trimester to prepare the body for labor and birth, and ensure a smooth postpartum recovery.

See MoreI see a lot of clients come in because they are seeking alternative treatment options for women’s health and reproductive health concerns. These issues include menstrual cramps, irregular bleeding, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, hormone imbalances, and infertility.
In Western Medicine, the options are often limited to pain killers, hormonal birth control, synthetic hormones, and surgery. However in Chinese Medicine, there is extensive knowledge and many ways to use acupunc...ture, herbal medicine, diet and nutrition, and lifestyle guidance to naturally treat the root cause and resolve symptoms.
Along with addressing reproductive health from a physical perspective, I believe it is important to uncover the underlying emotions. The reproductive system corresponds to the sacral chakra, the energy center in the body located below the navel. One way to facilitate healing of the sacral chakra is to address and release stuck emotions around relationships, power dynamics, and being able to create.
In what ways do you care for your reproductive health and sacral chakra? 🧡

Yellow :: Earth element :: In Chinese Medicine, this corresponds to the Spleen and Stomach organ meridian systems. Digestive issues are a sign of imbalance in the Earth element. At a physical level we receive nourishment through food and drink. At a mental, emotional, and spiritual level we receive nourishment with activities, places, people, and relations that help us feel supported and centered. Having boundaries around what depletes you and what nourishes you is a way to practice self-care and nourish your qi so you have energy to create and offer to the world.☀️
Water element :: To be soft, and powerful.
I was in Zion trekking through the canyons and in awe of how the flow of the river water permeated through the majestic rocks.
The Taoist concept of wu wei teaches us to go with the flow. It means doing nothing, in the sense of aligning with the natural course, and not making excessive effort or cause unnecessary struggle. We can be connected to flow, take action in right timing, experience ease in the process, and see powerful things happen.
