Loving My Veteran is a non-for-profit organization which serves to provide support to veterans, spouses, partners, and family members who live with PTSD. Loving My Veteran, through a unique approach, brings together veterans, caregivers, and professionals to provide an opportunity for veterans and their loved ones to better understand Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and the challenges that accompany the disorder. It is the mission of the organization to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment where they can come together with others who share the same battles and demons, to let them know that they are not alone. One veteran suicide a day is one too many, and it is our mission to reach out to veterans and their families with love and understanding to give them an out, to let them know that we will leave no one behind. Each veteran, spouse, partner, caregiver, family member, and friends, will all be affected by the loss of their veteran. We want spouses and partners to reach out as they are just as likely to commit suicide as their veteran, and that is one too many. Loving My Veteran strives to let everyone know, you are not a number, you are a person, and you are not alone.
