The Long Point Volunteer Fire Protection District is a volunteer fire district based in Long Point, Illinois. The department is fully staffed by volunteers for both Fire and EMS and covers Long Point, IL and surrounding areas in Livingston and Lasalle Counties for fire, vehicular and medical emergencies, as well as reponds to Mutual Aid calls from other departments. The district's apparatus include 2 Engines; 1612 and 1611, 1 Tender; 1617 and 1 Squad/Equipment Truck; 1616. Members of MABAS Division 23 (www.mabas23.org) and LCMAA and dispatched by LIVCOM. Business meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of every month, while EMS meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of every month. In case of an emergency always call 911!
