This was our second time to eat at Local Catch and we really enjoyed it. The nachos are amazing. My kids devoured them before I got a picture. We got there early so we were seated quick and the food came out fast as well. Our waiter was friendly and took great care of us. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Fish tacos were really good (this visit they were made with Mahi). I've had some with more flavor, and that's the only reason I gave 4 stars for the food. Nachos are the bomb and are very filling for a party of four. Service was fast and friendly. We'll definitely be back.
The best seafood I’ve had this week on 30A. I ordered the fried shrimp plate with a side of Brussels sprouts (the veggie of the day). Everyone in our group was impressed with their meals. Our waitress was very kind and helpful. Definitely will check this place out again if I find myself back on 30A soon!
My husband and his parents always come here when we are staying in 30A and I can see why! I got the fried shrimp tacos and fries and my husband got their fish and chips and sautéed spinach. Everything was delicious and the service was great as always!
The food is phenomenal! There menu has a wide variety and the daily specials are awesome! The have a nice drink selection. They have a small draft beer selection. Sweet potato fries are some of the best. I had very good shrimp taco. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The food is amazing. Very nice atmosphere seats are very comfy tons of room. On the other hand the hostess was very rude. We came here the first night to eat dinner an hour before closing. She said the kitchen was closed. There was people that just got seated in front of us. I’m guessing it was because we had a large party the second night we showed up they took us, it took her about five minutes to get the table together. We walked past two tables that were already prepped, and she didn’t even give us before menus for eight guest. everything else was something to talk about the hostess on the other hand was very unprofessional and not a good look.
This is probably one of the best restaurants on 30a! Good prices, a solid variety of tasty food and a nice atmosphere. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but this has become one of our go-to places for dining out.
Pros:
-over 10 items on the menu for under $15, which is a rarity around here
-'Old Florida' inside atmosphere with wood ceiling, floor and walls! There is also local art on display, mostly paintings of cartoony fish up to different shananigans
-service has always been good
-plenty of parking
Cons
-for having such reasonably priced menu options, I'm surprised the kid's menu is as pricey as it is. A kid's grilled cheese is the cheapest item for $8
This is a great place to go for food and fun, especially on Sunday afternoon when there is always a dance band playing. Whenever we are in town we like to go here. Forest Williams is our band of choice!! We just were there on Sunday, November 5, 2017. Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the music and the food. This is the locals hangout on Sunday, for sure.
We had a great waiter, the food came in a reasonable time and was very good. The next time I come back this will be one of the first places we go to. My grandkids say this restaurant is their new favorite! They loved the fries!
This food was incredible! Definitely my favorite. Our server was delightful and the place is just so trendy and interesting. We would definitely go back! The make drinks with real jucies, not mixes with additives and chemicals. The best restaurant on 30A.
Location great. Atmosphere and live music wonderful. I will come back. But, can we go a little less heavy on the frying, and go crisp without thick and heavy oil.
Food did not disappoint. The place is extremely casual. Inside looks like a dive with great service and good seafood. I can't talk about the drinks since I don't drink. But the good news is that they did have NA beer.
At the last minute the wife and I decided to take a much needed vacation, my son and his family were vacationing at another place but decided to meet in the middle for supper one night. My son picked this place from reviews he read, it was everything he read and then some. Staff was awesome and food was the bomb. It was very much worth the 45 minute drive, we will be hitting it again next year more than once I promise!!
We went around 5:15 on a Thursday night. My bowl of gumbo, which was pretty large for $8, only had one small shrimp in it. Without seafood or sausage, you basically have brown flour mush. My son's gumbo had more seafood and he was happy with it.
I wasn't too thrilled with my grilled grouper "fish of the day" either. The grits accompanying it were good as were the green beans, but the grouper itself didn't seem very fresh or something.
We were glad we got there when we did as we were seated as soon as we got there, whereas by the time we left there was quite a crowd waiting for tables. They may not have had to wait quite as long if we didn't have to wait so long for our check which seemed to take forever while all the rest of the dinner service was pretty good.
The food wasn't awful or anything like that but for the neighborhood and cost, it wasn't all that great either -- it certainly didn't rise to the level of "fantastic" or "best seafood ever". There are much better meals for $40 a person without alcoholic beverages or dessert.
Ordered a seafood platter. Grouper was overcooked. Shrimp was overcooked. Just disappointing.
Consistently good, which is a huge deal. I love the fish tacos here- they are delish! Good service and tasty, fresh food.
Didn't have to wait which was awesome as we had to wait every other night at all the other restaurants. We were not disappointed though. The food was great and the service was awesome as well. Loved the local flair and look of the restaurant. That is some thing we loved about all the Santa Rosa Beach restaurants is that there were no chain restaurants, all just locally owned with great food!
They sat us at a table right away. Friendly greeters and Michael, our waiter was top-notch. Food was delicious! Best in Santa Rosa. Fish tacos were sooo yummy. I highly recommend their lime vinaigrette dressing.
Best local seafood and fun staff! They were so friendly & accommodating. Nachos were the best my family and I have had.
I had the fried shrimp tacos, explosion of flavor! My husband loved the draft selection!
Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and suggested everything we got.
She hit it right on the nail.
We will be back every visit to 30a!
Everyone should try this place. Not to mention we had a 10 min wait time
