During the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, I saw two films at the Lobero. If you've never been, you'll discover that its a Santa Barbara Architectural Landmark, like the Arlington Theater. The Lobero Theater can be set up for movies and live concerts. Try to see the Lobero Theater, during the daylight and then at night. it's just beautiful.

Old, historic, and beautiful theater. Bathrooms have been upgraded. Be careful if you sit in the back aisle usually reserved for press--there's a platform to step up on to to get to your seats- hard to see in the dark.

Great venue. Great box office staff. Several ushers helped out when a youngster with us got overloaded by the volume/loudness of the music and not only offered ear plus, but checked on us in the lobby. So kind. And they worked!

A gleaming jewel in Santa Barbara's architectural crown, the Lobero sits one block off State Street in the heart of the city. Its faux Spanish Colonial exterior and elegant interior (and proximity to fine eateries and bars) combine to make the little palace a pleasant entertainment destination. Many community arts groups perform there, along with visiting artists, though high-octane star acts tend to land in other Santa Barbara venues.
