So finally after many years of hoping and dreaming and words of encouragement from family and friends I finally decided to start selling my homemade sweets.
My love for baking started at around age 4. I loved visiting my grandma Verda “Mae” and walking into her house it always smelled of homemade yummy treats! I loved the times she would let me help her make her homemade cinnamon rolls or roll out her homemade sugar cookies. I always knew each time I visited she would have something special made for me or something I could make with her and each time she always made it a fun time for me. Grandma Verda “Mae” was not the only inspiration; I also had my Grandma Elizabeth or “Lizzy” as we called her. She seemed to make food and sweets the center of attention or at least that was how it was to me. I knew there would be morning coffee with some homemade sweets and afternoon tea with tea rolls, sandwiches and cookies. Of course there was also breakfast, lunch and dinner too! What? It’s a German thing, we like to visit and eat! As you can see my Grandmothers had a great deal to do with why I love baking and creating yummy sweets and I thought it was very appropriate to name my business after them (Lizzy Mae’s). Although they are no longer with us they are still very much the inspiration behind everything I bake and create for you now. I hope you all enjoy my homemade sweets as much as I enjoyed making and eating them with my Grandma’s and now enjoy making and creating for you.

Please allow me to help you with whatever occasion you may need some homemade sweets. I am licensed through the State of Iowa to sell my products.
