Had a last minute trip scheduled to Tallahassee and found the Little English Guesthouse while searching for hotels in the area. Turns out the price and experience are far better than the chain hotels. I now have a new place to stay when visiting Tallahassee.
This was my first experience at at B&B. I totally stumbled on to it. I had just moved to Tallahassee and purchased at home and closing is at the end of August. In any event, I was at a hotel that was HORRIBLE! The elevator was broken and the hotel was extremely crowded. I decide to find another option and much to my amazement and surprise, I found this best kept secret. It was cozy, comfy and I had a lot of privacy. I highly recommend The Little English Guesthouse is a perfect B&B!
My friend and I has a lovely stay in the Staffordshire room. Tracey was very welcoming and accommodating! We both slept terrifically in the room since it is set away from direct window-light (though there is a window to the breezeway/foyer). The extra touches like sherry and ice cream in the freezer for when we got back from dinner made the stay truly special.
A sherry nightcap is a wonderfully civilized way to end the day. Thanks, Tracey, for your hospitality. My family will visit Tally in the next four years while my daughter is at FSU and we're looking forward to future stays with you.
Stayed here for a getaway weekend with my wife. We had an amazing experience. If you are looking for a hidden retreat in the middle. Of Tallahassee this is the perfect place for you. Breakfast is very informal with lots of options.
Wonderful Stay! Would definitely pay another visit to this B&B. Toney is a wonderful inn keeper. Very welcoming and making sure my stay was pleasant. Very close to great places to eat.....do not miss the French restaurant and bakery!
I had never been to Tallahassee until last week when I had to go for work. I looked at all the lodging possibilities as I was planning my trip. Little English Guesthouse popped up as having great guest reviews so I booked one night there. I do not regret my decision. To the contrary, I wish I had been able to stay there longer! Before my check-in, Tracey gave me a call and gave me a code to get into the house since I was arriving late at night. Once I arrived, I was mesmerized by the beauty of this house. It really felt like England. My room was very clean, comfortable and full of English details. The next morning, I woke up and went to the breakfast room. Tracey came out to greet me. She was very lovely and welcoming. The actual bed and breakfast is separated from their home so you feel a lot of privacy. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone staying in Tallahassee. I look forward to staying again at the Little English Guesthouse in the future. It's a quaint English home away from home.
One of the nicest guest houses we've been to where you feel as if you are being welcomed into someone's home but yet have the privacy and convenience of a hotel. The owner, Tracey, has covered all the bases on what someone might need at her lovely B and B and you won't be disappointed. The location is perfect for anything you might need to do in Tallahassee, along with great shopping and dining nearby. You will be "in" the city, but not anywhere near the noise and congestion but have easy access to the main highway through Tallahassee and very easy access to the State Capitol and all of the main campuses of FAMU and FSU. We will definitely stay there again when the need arises! Post Note: The need arose and we stayed there again, still a pleasure and wonderful amenities.
I was a little bit apprehensive about staying in a bed-and-breakfast we had never stayed in one before.me and my husband enjoyed it, it was wonderful it was a quaint little place super clean the staff is excellent. We had a great time. Would highly recommend it for anyone that wanted a clean place to stay and comfortable Little Getaway. It's definitely on the list to stay there again!!!!
We had a most excellent trip and stay in Tallahassee, thanks to Ms. Tracey. We loved the quaintness of the Little English Guesthouse. It was the perfect place for a quiet weekend getaway. Tracey was available for anything we needed and made our stay very comfortable and pleasant. Would definitely recommend this B & B!
The Little English Inn was a great place to stay. Just outside the city it was a pretty little place to stay for a reasonable price and a last min decision to stay the night. Tracey was wonderful and very helpful with places to have dinner and area things to do.
