Creativity in any form is healthy, as study after study has shown. But I’ve learned creativity doesn’t want to just photograph, or paint, or endlessly decorate your home. True artists venture from station to station and create whatever comes to mind; One outlet for them simply isn’t enough. Soon after founding a photography business with my oldest sister, I wasn’t quite able to silence that compulsive feeling I had to constantly create things. To inspire others and make them smile. So, I began to paint, and soon after, I established a business for that. Then I began to garden. Then I began to refurbish furniture. Then I realized; by separating my art I was unknowingly limiting myself and my creative process. Linden Tree Artistry allows me to fluidly inspire the world, shape it, make it beautiful, but most importantly it allows my creativity, not my craft, to define me. The name derives from my Swedish heritage and my maiden name–Lindquist, lind meaning "linden tree" and kvist, quist meaning "twig". As one of only five Lindquist’s remaining, I wanted to honor the family that has relentlessly nurtured and supported my artistic path, by allowing our names to live on in my art.
