Tiny by comparison to the big boys, but very personalized and thorough. Virtually everything done by hand. We were able to taste pretty much everything they make. Very friendly staff, nice gift shop. Some distillery-only whiskey available to purchase, and were able to taste them before making a decision. Worth the stop if you're doing the distillery tours.
Awesome experience at limestone today, the sherry rye is amazing! Emilee was very personable and knowledgeable. Will definitely come back whenever I'm in the area.
This is a very exciting local craft distillery with a bourbon heritage by the name of Beam that goes back seven generations. The knowledge they have goes in to each spirit produced, including high rye and a unique gin that is in current production. My wife and I attended a KY craft spirits festival April 14 and had a wonderful time. Thanks Stephen!
I have done a lot of brewery/distillery tours and this is easily the best one! Our tour guide Stephen was great, as was everyone else in there gift shop. Giant thanks to Gina, Justin, Melanie, and derick for showing us a great time!!
Fantastic place. Wife and I had already done the KY Bourbon Tour of the big distilleries and Limestone Branch was our first craft distillery. Stephen, the tour guide, will make you laugh and feel like you are a life long friend. Of their products, Precinct 6 is a special bourbon - equal in taste and quality of Maker's 46. If the weather is good, get a cocktail and spend a while on the covered patio. Stephen prompted me to become a Certified Bourbon Steward. In April 2018 I plan to take the class to become an Executive Bourbon Steward.
One of BEST and MOST INFORMATIVE Bourbon Tours!!! Stephen WONDERFUL VERY PERSONAL TOUR!!! Incredible stories and answered every question!!! The Blackberry and tart cherry moonshine are INCREDIBLE!!! This BOUTIQUE SMALL DISTILLERY is a MUST in contrast a complimentary to Large neighbor producer Maker’s Mark
Excellent customer service. The drinks were delicious. The presentation at the trophy cases was my favorite part - Stephen F. was captivating while telling the story of how Limestone came to be. He was very enthusiastic about passing on his knowledge, which tells me he truly loves what he does.
Special thanks to Gina, Jennifer, Chad, & Derick as well! The Limestone team made sure we left with positive memories & smiles on our faces. I highly recommend a tour, or at least stop in for a few samples.
Great place. Stephen is a real character. No words can describe. Awesome show. Highly recommended. Spirits are great as well.

We just popped in while we waited for our cooperage tour. It was an excellent and entertaining short tour. The tasting was very wide ranging. And Stephen Beam autographed my bottle of Yellow Stone.
Had a wonderful hour here - our first experience of a craft and it was quite different to the main stream boys. Stephen our tour guide was very funny and you felt he could have happily spent hours discussing the merits of bourbon 😊. The ladies behind the counter in the gift store Gina and Mikayla were great. The products were very good especially the Yellowstone and the apple cinnamon sugar shine (I'm thinking that will take a big hit around the campfire at our Canadian Thanking). A big thank you too to the president and distiller Stephen B. Beam who came down from his office to sign our bottle. A lovely gesture that was much appreciated. Definitely a worthwhile stop on the bourbon tour.
We stumbled upon this little gem, and I am so happy we stopped! We joined up with the tour (free!) where Stephen Fante thoroughly entertained us. He certainly knows his stuff, but he was the character I needed after the bland tour guide down the road at Maker's Mark. The tasting room was intimate and casual, and you could taste anything you wanted (again free!). Gina and Chad were equally fun and helpful out in the gift shop. Next time I plan to allot more time to enjoy the beautifully inviting outdoor space. I am more of a wine drinker myself, but I would return to this gem in a heartbeat!
The best tour guide is at Limestone. We loved hearing the history from him. It's a small free tour and free tastings. My family from Massachusetts had a great time. Perfect stop if going to other distilleries.
Tour: entertaining
Tasting: generous
Environment: welcoming
Great experience from start to finish. Gorgeously landscaped distillery nestled deep in Bourbon Country. Makes for the perfect Sunday Funday adventure!
Has cocktail bar, gift shop, and spacious outdoor lounge.
Fantastic time. Very friendly people and very knowledgeable. Very much enjoyed our time there.
Very disappointed. For the price I paid I expected a better flavor and a better quality of shine. But then again I'm from Kentucky and know how to make it myself. Really feel ripped off.
Best moonshine in the State of Kentucky, a must do visit!! Ask for Steve cuz he is the best!
Awesome place. The people are great, sampling is great. You get a much more personal visit than the larger distilleries.
Got a tour and tasting with Stephen Fante.
Best tour guide we have had in three years on the bourbon trail!
He didn't just recite the story of Limestone Branch. He "presented" it with passion through the fine art of story telling. Not your typical product lines - yet. Start-up distillers have to sell product and don't have time to wait for aging. That means moonshine and they have developed some unique products. Think liquors and cordials instead of just bourbon. Give them some time and they will be at the top of the craft trail with fine aged bourbon. Don't skip this place. Our ladies especially loved the cordials samples Stephen made for them at the tasting.
